Weston wins Middlesex player of the month award

Batsman Robin Weston was yesterday presented with Middlesex's 'Halifax Equitable Player of the Month' award for June, overcoming stiff competition from Phil Tufnell, Owais Shah and captain Stephen Fleming who have all been in exceptional form of late.
Scoring his maiden championship century for the club against Hampshire and following it up with his second ton in the next match against Warwickshire, Weston has scored a total of 371 runs in the CricInfo Championship Division Two in June at an average of 92.75. He comments: "I've been lucky to have a good run in the side and am pleased I can contribute some runs to our promotion bid."
This monthly award is voted for by club sponsors Halifax Equitable. The season's first Player of the Month was awarded to Owais Shah for April / May.
