The Middlesex bowler, Phil Tufnell, has received a reprimand under the ECB's new discipline code following an incident during Middlesex's Frizzell County Championship Division Two fixture with Durham at Lord's.
Tufnell was reported by the umpires John Holder and Mervyn Kitchen for a Level One breach of the new code (showing dissent at the umpire's decision by word or action.)
The penalty remains in force for a period of 12 months. Any further Level One breach will result in an automatic imposition of three penalty points.
The ECB's new discipline code came into force at the start of this season and Tufnell is the second player to be penalised in this way.
