ECB Media Release
November 18, 2002
The 2003 Super Fours will take place in May and June, with matches spread across Loughborough, Reading College and Kings College in Taunton.
The competition was introduced by the ECB's Executive Director of Women's Cricket, Gill McConway, for the 2002 season - specifically to narrow the gap between county and international cricket and foster a competitive team spirit.
The Super Fours features four equally balanced sides picked by the National Selectors from the top 48 players in the country, helping England Head Coach John Harmer to bring new talent through to the national side and maximise England's impact on the international scene.
