Leicestershire have announced that Mark Cleary, who joined them at the start of the season, will replace Garnett Kruger as the county's second overseas player.

Kruger was always doubtful after undergoing an operation on a groin injury in March. Tests have now revealed that he needs a prolonged period of recuperation before he can resume training.

Cleary has played two county matches this season, taking three expensive wickets.
