The second day of Glamorgan's match with Sussex at Colwyn Bay saw another host of records tumble as the Welsh county declared on 718-3 - the 11th highest total in County Championship history, and the best in the club`s history.

Steve James also created a new club record with 309* - the highest ever individual innings in the club's history, and the highest score so far of the 2000 season.
James' 10 hour innings contained a record 41 boundaries - the most in an innings by a Glamorgan batsman. Last year, James made 259* at the ground against Nottinghamshire, so his record breaking triple hundred takes him to an aggregate of 568 runs in over 22 hours at the crease at the Rhos ground.
