ECB Media Release
October 30, 2000
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) today announced that PPP Healthcare has decided not to continue its sponsorship of the County Championship.
Terry Blake, ECB Marketing Director said "The ECB have enjoyed a very good working relationship with PPP Healthcare and fully understands the decision, which has been taken for commercial reasons. They have stressed that the decision is not due to dissatisfaction with cricket, or the way cricket is organised by the ECB".
PPP Healthcare had a contract with the ECB which enabled them to review their participation after two years.
The ECB is expecting to announce a new sponsor for the County Championship before Christmas and thank PPP Healthcare for supporting domestic cricket in England and Wales.
