NatWest Series [India in England] - 7th ODI

England v India

England won by 7 wickets (with 82 balls remaining)

6.1

Anderson to Ganguly, OUT, His luck runs out finally. Full in length, slanting away from him and he had a lame poke at it with an open-face of the bat and it went low to the second slip.

SC Ganguly c Flintoff b Anderson 15 (30m 22b 2x4 0x6) SR: 68.18

India 26/1   SR Tendulkar 11* (15b 1x4)   JM Anderson 3.1-0-10-1

12.4

Anderson to Gambhir, OUT, oh superb catch from Wright! Gambhir swivels uneasily, latching onto a short of a length delivery just outside off stump, the ball comes off the bottom of the bat and flies low and fast to Wright at square leg, who times his dive forward brilliantly and plucks it inches off the ground!

G Gambhir c Wright b Anderson 12 (30m 20b 0x4 0x6) SR: 60.00

India 52/2   SR Tendulkar 25* (34b 3x4)   JM Anderson 6.4-0-19-2

13.3

Flintoff to Dravid, OUT, and it works! That ball was quick, pitching back of a length outside off stump and jagging in, Dravid hops up and tries to drop the bat out of harms way but theres a noise as ball passes him, it deviates sharply and Prior collects moving to his left, they all go up in appeal and Aleem Dar nods his head and raises the finger! Dravid isnt happy at all, the ball bounced well and he seems to say the bat flicked his pad...

R Dravid c †Prior b Flintoff 0 (5m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

India 53/3   SR Tendulkar 26* (36b 3x4)   A Flintoff 1.3-0-11-1

15.4

Flintoff to Tendulkar, OUT, gone, but how! Flintoff pitches full again, outside off stump, Tendulkar drives loosely, bat misses ball completely, instead the bat clips the pad as he goes through with the shot, they appeal for the catch from Prior and Aleem Dar pulls off a shocking dismissal! Wow, there was no bat on ball whatsoever and Tendulkar is livid. Another bad dismissal in this long summer of competitive cricket.

SR Tendulkar c †Prior b Flintoff 30 (80m 46b 4x4 0x6) SR: 65.21

India 59/4   Yuvraj Singh 1* (4b)   A Flintoff 2.4-0-17-2

24.3

Mascarenhas to Uthappa, OUT, And Uthappa combusts. Full and outside off, it was a slower one, Uthappa loses patience and slashes it uppishly straight to mid-off. It was in the slot allright but instead of driving it through extra cover, he tried to clear mid-off and paid the penalty. The bat-face shut a touch and he didn't get his placement or timing right.

RV Uthappa c Anderson b Mascarenhas 22 (40m 30b 2x4 0x6) SR: 73.33

India 106/5   Yuvraj Singh 19* (29b 1x6)   AD Mascarenhas 2.3-0-5-1

30.2

Mascarenhas to Yuvraj Singh, OUT, That's a big wicket. Huge blow to India. Yuvraj Singh is gone. It lands on a length, around the off and middle line and angles away, Yuvraj steers it straight to Collingwood who had placed himself at third slip position.

Yuvraj Singh c Collingwood b Mascarenhas 28 (77m 48b 1x4 1x6) SR: 58.33

India 119/6   MS Dhoni 4* (16b)   AD Mascarenhas 5.2-1-7-2

37.2

Panesar to Dhoni, OUT, gone this time however! Tossed up on leg stump, Dhoni gets forward and tucks it fine, setting off for the sharp single towards square leg, Powar scampers down the track and realizes he's struggling, then decides to dive full stretch but he's short this time as Prior collects a good throw from Shah and flicks the stumps, and thats India's seventh wicket down on 147

RR Powar run out 10 (27m 20b 1x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

India 147/7   MS Dhoni 19* (38b 1x4)   MS Panesar 4.2-0-16-0

38.4

Mascarenhas to Chawla, OUT, smart stumping! Similar delivery, pushed across Chawla, who drives lustily and misses, dragging the back foot forward and Prior, after collecting nicely, whips off the bails just before Chawla could drag the foot back in, neatly done to get rid of India's eighth batsman

PP Chawla st †Prior b Mascarenhas 0 (5m 6b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

India 148/8   MS Dhoni 20* (40b 1x4)   AD Mascarenhas 9.4-2-19-3

41.6

Panesar to Khan, OUT, bowled 'em! Monty tosses it up on middle and off, Zaheer goes for a regulation tail-end swipe across the line, misses, and loses his stumps for Monty to break into celebration! India are nine down...

Z Khan b Panesar 7 (15m 16b 1x4 0x6) SR: 43.75

India 160/9   MS Dhoni 24* (45b 1x4)   MS Panesar 6-1-19-1

47.3

Flintoff to Dhoni, OUT, good catch in the deep! Dhoni slogs a fullish delivery and mistimes it over the covers and mid-off, the ball's up in the air for some time and Anderson, moving to his left and running around from long-off, watches the ball brilliantly and times his dive to perfection, cupping his hands and holding on to end India's innings at 187

MS Dhoni c Anderson b Flintoff 50 (98m 72b 4x4 1x6) SR: 69.44

India 187/10   RP Singh 1* (6b)   A Flintoff 8.3-0-45-3
