Profile
The Colombo CC ground is the third clustered around Maitland Place, which also includes the SSC and Nondescripts. It is a small ground, but held three Tests in the 1980s and still hosts touring sides in warm-up matches. The playing area takes up most of the space, leaving a narrow area for spectators on both side, plus the pavilion and one concrete stand. Its maiden first-class match was in 1927 and in 1934 hosted an MCC side led by Douglas Jardine.
