Aneurin Donald, a middle-order batsman from Swansea, has developed well through age-group and second XI cricket and is now ready to challenge for a place in the Glamorgan first XI. He was awarded a development contract for 2014 and that summer was picked for England Under-19s and made his first-class debut in the final match of the season where he made 59 against Hampshire in the second innings. His contract was subsequently extended.
Donald was first given a chance in the Glamorgan second XI in 2012 and a year later became a regular while also playing a key role for Mumbles who won the South Wales Premier League.
