Robin Boyd-Moss was a right-hand No. 3 batsman who won Blues at Cambridge between 1980 and 1983, scoring 100 not out in 1982 to guide his side to victory. Although he had played for Northamptonshire in the holidays while at university, it was in 1982 that he really made his mark, ending the summer with 1602 runs at 44.50. In 1983 he won his final Blue and made history by scoring hundreds in both innings of the Varsity match. His first full season of county cricket in 1984 was interrupted by a broken thumb and a bout of hepatitis, and the following year he had back problems. In 1986 he again topped 1000 runs, but after a poor 1987 he retired from the game. He also spent some time coaching Kenya.
