Timothy Bevington was at Harrow without gaining a place in the XI but, like his brother, went on to play a few games as an amateur batsman for Middlesex. His only performance of note came in his last game, in 1904, when he made 27 and added 50 fore the eighth wicket against Gloucestershire. He fared better playing for the MCC, making 74 against Nottinghamshire in 1904 and a year earlier hit a career-best 91 for PF Warner's XI against Gentlemen of Philadelphia. His final first-class appearance came in 1913-14 - after he had emigrated - when he was in a combined USA/Canada XI that played the Australians.
