Sir Kenneth Harper played three times for Middlesex in 1910 as a middle-order batsman with no success whatsoever. He served with the Royal Marines in the Great War and made his career in the Far East. He was on the Council of State, India between 1928 and 1932 and subsequently represented Burma at international conferences. He was knighted in 1936.
