Nick Warren has had a stop-start career at Warwickshire as injuries have taken their toll. Warren, a former England Under-19 bowler made his debut in 2002 against West Indies A but his impact since has been limited. It seemed he would leave Edgbaston in 2003 when he was told he could talk to other clubs but he stayed to fight for his place, only to miss the first three months of the next season with a stress-fracture of the back. As he played only four Championship games in 2005 and did not feature in the 2006 season, his career at Edgbaston would appear to be drawing to a close.
