Five special volunteers have been recognised for their contributions to Hong Kong cricket by being awarded ICC Centenary Medals. One hundred ICC Centenary Medals have been awarded by the ICC as part of its centenary year celebrations to the most worthy volunteers around the world for their services to cricket.

The medals were presented to the recipients by David Morgan, President of the International Cricket Council and by Syed Ashraful Huq, CEO of the Asian Cricket Council in a special ceremony held at the Hong Kong Cricket Club's Indoor Cricket Centre of Excellence on 11th January 2010.

The recipients were:

George Lamplough, medal winner (A major organizer behind improvements to the Hong Kong Cricket Club Gappers Junior Cricket Program which oversees the coaching of 200 cricketers under 13 years of age, on Saturday mornings) [Photo]

Mrs Anita Miles, medal winner (A main driving force behind the creation of the Ladies League in Hong Kong. She has been the Convenor of HKCC Women's Cricket since 2001 and organized the two HKCC Teams that have been playing in the Ladies League since its commencement.) [Photo]

Ravi Nagdev, medal winner ( co-founded the Little Sai Wan Junior Development Program and formed team in HKCA U11, U13, U15, U17, U19 Junior Leagues. Started Women's Cricket in the Club. He led the re-drafting of the clubs constitution, procedures, rules and policies for the new millennium.) [Photo]

Jawad Ashraf, medal winner (Worked voluntarily with Pakistan Association Cricket Club, Hong Kong from 1999 to 2005 as a member of the Executive Committee, and founded the Pakistan Association Junior Development Program with Najeeb Amar and formed team U11, U13, U15, U17, U19 to participate HKCA Junior Leagues.) Tony Turner, medal winner (Has served the Little Sai Wan Cricket Club since 1965 in the capacity of Player, Grounds Man, Captain, and Executive Committee Member, as President and currently as Chairman. He has actively involved in day to day development of the club for decades and the work still continues.) [Photo]
