MV Nagendra stood in 11 Tests bookended by the 1963-64 and 1976-77 England tours. His father, Mysore Vijayasarathi, was a Test umpire throughout the 1950s and in 1960-61 the two became only the second father-and-son combination to stand in a first-class match (Mysore v Andhra).
