Profile

Born in South Africa, Michael Neser moved with his family to the Gold Coast at the age of 10 and emerged in Queensland's Under-19 side in 2008-09. An allrounder with decent pace to his bowling and the ability to bat up the order if required, Neser made his state debut in 2010-11 in the Sheffield Shield and Ryobi Cup. Although injuries have prevented him from becoming a permanent member of the Queensland side, he enjoyed a strong 2013-14 in the shorter formats, collecting 10 BBL wickets at 19.90 for the Adelaide Strikers after being Queensland's equal top Ryobi Cup wicket taker with 10 victims at 27.40. He was called up to the Australia A squad to take on South Africa A in four-day matches in August 2014.
