Starc to Cook, no run, good length, in the channel outside off stump, much better line and Cook shoulders arms as it shapes away


Starc to Cook, 1 run, full and sliding on to the pads again, worked finer, towards long leg, Cook wants two but they decide against doing anything silly


Starc to Bell, no run, angled across on a good length outside off stump, good carry through to the keeper as Bell leaves


Starc to Bell, no run, back of a length and at the body, tapped short into the leg side

Starc oversteps to concede a no-ball and Cook then has to scramble back to just beat a direct hit from point, Bell had gone charging down the pitch anyway, the ball deflects through midwicket after clipping the bails and they pick up a couple anyway


Starc to Cook, 2 runs, pitched up, Cook goes for a heave straight out of the farmyard, so agricultural was it, more air than distance but it clears mid-off for a couple


Starc to Cook, 1 run, edged, Cook pushes with hard hands but gets enough bat on it to take it wide of second slip for a single to third man

Starc to Bell, 1 run, close! Pushed into the off side by Bell who sets off straight away for the single and Root needs to get the dive out as the throw comes in, but it misses the stumps by quite some distance

Starc to Bopara, 2 runs, low full toss, Bopara swats at it, gets a healthy edge and Wade does very well to get a glove on it as the ball skims past, ensuring third man can clean up

Starc to Bopara, SIX, bosh, this one goes all the way, England's first six of the innings! A low full toss from Starc, Bopara clips it unfussily over deep midwicket, not much follow through but it flies low into the crowd
