Presentation:

Misbah: "It was a good bowling effort, 234 was getable. You needed 4.5 an over, we could not knock it around or rotate. The batsmen were in form in the practice games but I don't know what happened. The pitch was a little slow, but we could have chased it. We need to forget about these two games before we meet India."

AB de Villiers: "The victory is sweet. We got more than 200 against a quality attack on a tough wicket. The three spinners bowled very well. I wasn't happy with 234, we set it up so well to get to 270 even. After I got out I thought 220 was also a good score. Morris had a wonderful debut. We protected the square boundaries well. Dale Steyn will most probably be ready for the next game."

Amla is the Man of the Match: "The wicket was a bit difficult early on. We were just going to play normal cricket. It's been tough going with the two white balls. We have a really good squad, a young team."

So there you have it, Pakistan will have to hope India lose to West Indies tomorrow and then beat India comprehensively. South Africa have done really well to get their chances up.

That's it from us here. We hope you enjoyed the coverage. Do catch us for India v West Indies tomorrow. It's a day game so it starts at 9.30 GMT. Thanks for the mails and your company. Cheers!

End of match: No Steyn? No Morkel? No problem. South Africa made this look far easier than they would have imagined, given Pakistan's uncertain batting. It would have lifted them greatly seeing a debutant Chris Morris set a high standard at the start - his two wickets really pegged Pakistan back. They shed the idea of bowling short and instead bowled fuller, cramping the batsmen for room. The pressure started piling up and for the second time, Misbah had too much to do.

Our post-match Huddle is starting soon.

There is still hope for Pakistan though, but only if Windies win both their remaining matches, and Pakistan beat India. Then Pakistan, India and South Africa will all have one win each, bringing NRR into play. If any of those results don't happen Pakistan are out.

End of over 45 (wicket maiden) Pakistan 167/10 (68 runs required from 30 balls, RR: 3.71, RRR: 13.60)
