MS Dhoni has not ruled out playing another World Cup for India. Speaking at the post-match press conference after India's defeat to Australia in their semi-final at the SCG, Dhoni said he would probably think about his long-term future after next year's World T20.

"I'm not sure about it," Dhoni said, when asked if he would play another World Cup. "I'm 33, I'm still running, I'm still fit, but I'll have a year's time, maybe close to next year, during the T20 World Cup will be the time I would like to decide whether I'll continue till the 2019 World Cup or not."

Dhoni retired from Test cricket in late December, handing over the captaincy of the Test team to Virat Kohli. He remains India's captain in the shorter formats.

When it was his turn to take the mike, Michael Clarke, the Australia captain, said he was sure Dhoni would continue to play on for a while yet.

"I heard you ask if it is going to be his last World Cup," Clarke said. "I'm pretty sure it's not going to be, there's a lot of cricket left in his body yet."

that makes Kohli the captain, haha he'll always remind me of that Afridi six and the face he made when ball was in the air.

I think Rohit Sharma will be a better captain than kohli. Kohli has a huge attitude problem.

I think kohli needs to improve alot as a captain. He needs captains skill, at some stage of the game he needs a cool mind and at others he needs to b aggressive. Dhoni has this art. Dhoni should not even think of his retirement for next 4 years otherwise indian cricket will have to face problems.

Dhoni needs to be extended as ODI and T20 WC as he is still the best in Shorter format and should continue to play for next 4-5 years until WC 2019 for India's good.Kohli should first prove his mettle as a test skipper with good results and he should not hurried as captain in shorter formats.

How much more a person can be honest & forthright? So, a full stop to all speculations is the right thing to do.

Many try to make a mountain of a molehill, for ages, in every field, to make an exaggerated impact. In this case, I won't be surprised to find some trying to make a mountain of nothing!

It was nice to see Dhoni responding to the tricky questions honestly. I agree with Michael Clarke..

@PRASSF1 - I'm so tired of everyone and their mother claiming that India beat Bangladesh becase of an umpiring error.. Apart from the fact that umpiring errors happen all the time, just look at the basic stats! Rohit was already on 90 in the 40th over.. He went on to score another 47 runs.. Had he been given out on 90, others would have come in and still scored - maybe the total might have been 15-20 runs less at the most.. On the flip side, Bangladesh lost by like 110 runs!! It wasn't a nail-biter that India squeaked by.. Bang was bowled out for 193.. that's a HUGE difference! So I really wish ppl would use their logic a lot more before going out and making these grand statements that say a lot and mean absolutely nothing..
