United Arab Emirates captain Khurram Khan hit an unbeaten 121 to help his side draw the match against Canada in King City, Ontario. UAE faced a first-innings deficit of 253 after Canada declared in the third over of the final day. Led by Khurram's highest first-class score, they batted out the 90 overs that Canada squeezed in, losing only four wickets.

Canada resumed on 366 for 4 and their captain Jimmy Hansra chose to bat on till he was dismissed for 67 by Amjad Javed. Damodar Daesrath had fallen in the first over of the day for 111 to the same bowler. Canada declared on 369 for 6 and struck as early as the fourth over of UAE's second innings when Haroon Iftikhar was caught by Hansra off Jeremy Gordon, named the Player of the Match for his six-for in the first innings. Khurram arrived at No 3 and settled in for the day. UAE kept losing the odd wicket, though, and at one stage, were 115 for 4 in 49 overs.

Rohan Mustafa came in at No 6 and ensured no further damage even as Khurram kept going at the other end. The UAE captain faced 264 deliveries during his five-and-a-half hour stay and hit 13 fours and a six while Mustafa consumed 120 balls for his unbeaten 25.

Canada collected 13 points from the game but remained in bottom position on the points table while UAE picked up seven to move ahead of Netherlands to sixth place.
