West Indies U-19 squad for World Cup 2015

  • Ramaal Lewis (capt), Nicholas Pooran (vice-capt), Fabian Allen, Tagenarine Chanderpaul, Bryan Charles, Tristan Coleman, Jonathan Drakes, Shimron Hetmeyer, Jerome Jones, Ray Jordan, Brandon King, Preston McSween, Marquino Mindley, Gudakesh Motie, Jeremy Solozano

Off-spinning allrounder Ramaal Lewis will lead West Indies Under-19s at the World Cup in the UAE in February. He will be assisted by wicketkeeper-batsman Nicolas Pooran.

West Indies' 15-member squad will have a one-week preparatory camp in Barbados, at the Sagicor High Performance Centre, starting on Tuesday.

The team is placed in Group C at the World Cup, alongside South Africa, Zimbabwe and Canada. Their first game is on the opening day of the tournament, February 14, against South Africa in Dubai.

Young Chanderpaul is as you say Young. He is still learning and working @ his game. Even international players have weakness but they work on it. One can be the most correct player according to the books ( Carl Hooper) but if you do not score runs then you are out. Young Chanderpaul will get there . He needs the exposure. Give him a break. He did not get a chance because of his father. He worked for it and earned it.

Young Chanderpaul could bat very well, he plays for Guyana also!

The younger Chanderpaul can barely get the ball of the square.Surely there must be better players in the carribean than sons of famous fathers.
