11.45pm: England will be very satisfied with their work in the field. It was a good toss to win on a damp pitch. Shrubsole and Brunt got some disconcerting swing in the first hour and the Australian top order got a rude wake-up call. A couple of 40s by Sthalekar and Coyte helped Australia recover but they needed at least one of them to bat through. 147 doesn't look too daunting.
