ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier - 2nd semi final

Canada Women v Thailand Women

Thailand Women won by 13 runs

Good afternoon and welcome to Day 4 of the Womens World T20 qualifiers here in Dublin. My name is Justin Smyth and im goign to be bringing live ball by ball commentary on the game between Canada and Thailand. This afternoon's game is being played at Malahide ground just to the north of Dublin. We have bright skies over the ground at the the moment, although we have had lots of rumbles of thunder. So dont be suprised if we have a drop of rain at some point.

Both of thse teams are now playing for the shield after they finished in the bottom two in their respective groups. Whoever wins this game will play Zimbabwe in the shield final. Zimbabwe beat Japan by 3 wickets in the other semi-final. The news from the middle is that Thailand have won the toss and are batting.

The rain that has been threatening all day has finally arrived. So we will have a delayed start here. The covers are on and hopefully the strong wind that has blown away the media tent will hopefully blow the clouds away too Match State: Delay - rain 2.45pm The news from the middle is that the rain has almost stopped. The rain had been very light so when it stops we shouldnt take too long before we get going. In fact the covers are coming off as I type. The players are going onto the pitch to carry on warming up.

The news from the middle is that we are going to be starting at 2.55pm . It is going to be a 18 over game. Match State: Delay - clear
