The real bolter in the New Zealand squad, Luke Woodcock is a 28-year-old spin-bowling allrounder whose sole appearance for his country was in a Twenty20 match against Pakistan in December. A left-arm orthodox bowler, he provides the side with another spin option on surfaces that should suit the slower men, although he'll be behind Daniel Vettori and Nathan McCullum in the pecking order. As a batsman, he has a first-class double-century to his name.
Strengths
Can be innovative with the bat, playing cheeky lap shots, but also has the strength to hit harder.
