Ahsan: "IMO for Junaid to come in, one of Ahmed, Abdur Rehman or Umar Akmal has to be dropped based on performance and Hafeez should step up as a regular spinner, he will definitely get reasonable spin on sub-continent pitches n he is almost a regular bowler"

MA Ouma    15* (32b 1x4)      Umar Gul    1-0-1-0

Ali Hussain: "I really cant agree with taking out Abdur Rehman - he has done a brilliantjob for Pakistan in the last year and dropping Shezhad??? Absolutely not! Junaid looked promising yes - but i wouldnt bring him into the side and hurt the balance we currently have! "

12.2

Umar Gul to Ouma, OUT, Out this time! It was a good length delivery outside off and Ouma goes for a strange shot. He got on the front foot and went for a cut. Not the length for it. Unless you have a Shane Watson like chop-cut off the front foot. Edge and gone here!

MA Ouma c †Kamran Akmal b Umar Gul 16 (55m 37b 1x4 0x6) SR: 43.24

Noman: "Our balance is not right because we are playing an extra batsman. Hafeez is a liability at the top of the order. Kami shd open with Shehzad and both Saeed Ajmal & A.Rehman should play. On seaming track (if there are any) then Junaid or Wahab should play"

Anwer Khan: "Junaid is not going to play any matches( barring injury to Gul or Shoaib) at all as far as I can see because in the sub continent the spinners get preference. Gul is better with an older ball. That is why Razzaq is being given the opening bowler's task."

Rana Rehman: "i don't agree that we've an extra batsman. this team is perfectly balanced. with proper batsman and bowler the only thing which is matter is whether they strike or not. but balance is perfect because our batting is fragile so extra batsman is good."

14.2

Umar Gul to Obuya, 1 run, cuts in from outside off, edges the defensive push to the on side

Hugh: "Hafeez is not a liability - a couple of scratchy innings don't hide the fact that he's now a solid opener in all formats. He and Afridi are more than part-time spin - them with one of Rehman and Ajmal can do the job - Gul, Riaz and Shoaib are a potent attack. You can't take Razzaq out if only for his finishing."

Omair Siddiqui: "What is going on here? Why are there calls of dropping players who have won matches for Pakistan in the recent past? Shehzad, Hafeez, Rehman, U Akmal have all been performing well! Calm down people. Did you expect Kenya to get bowled out for 69 again? Even a school team knows that it should be more careful after a collapse. Have a bit of patience. "

Kenya started with so much promise but they have imploded very quickly. Pakistan have won their first game without any fuss.

Please hang on for quotes from the post-match ceremony.

Umar Akmal: Early on we lost couple of quick wickets but later the batsmen had good partnerships. We were confident. The score was too much for the Kenyans. We have been enjoying Sri Lanka so far. I would like to thank the crowd for supporting us. There are lot of Pakistani fans and we hope that they will continue to support us. "

The ceremony will begin shortly.

Kamande: "We gave lot of extras. May be because the guys were trying too hard ... We are not performing at both areas. Today, I thought the bowling was 70%. I didnt bowl and let down the other three bowlers. We are playing Pakistan after a long time. It's a difficult situation for us. The batting .. I don't know .. we didn't go for the score. We will try to encourage the boys it doesn;t matter, go for the score."

Shahid Afridi : We should be more positive in the batting. It was a slow track but we should have started more positively. You should take a chance after 5-6 overs to disturb the line other wise they will keep bowling on the same line if you don't take any chances. The next game, we will come harder. It was good to see Shoaib Akthar bowl really well." Asked about his own bowling, Afridi says with a smile, " I am a bowler first, then a batsman!"

Umar Akmal is the Man of the Match: "I have played this kind of knock after a long time. I am happy that the seniors like Waqar, Afridi all backed me. I have practised hard and long and Shahid bhai told me if I continue to work like this runs will come. There is always pressure, so you can't take any additional pressure on yourself. I am enjoying my fielding, been training well. I will take this form in the upcoming games. Not only in the next game but in all games that Shahid bhai will offer me."

That's it from us. Good bye and good luck.
