Dockrell to Tendulkar, OUT, The left-arm charm works. Sachin is out. Dockrell has removed the big man. Innocuous delivery. Tossed up on middle stump and straightening. Sachin went down on a knee to play the sweep through square leg. He missed and was struck on the right thigh. He discussed long and hard with Kohli is it was worth reviewing. In the end he decided against it, and just as well. That was plumb, heading for leg and middle. Could not have been plumber if he was working with pipes and taps. Peterson, Yuvraj and now Dockrell... What's it with left-arm spinners today?!

SR Tendulkar lbw b Dockrell 38 (91m 56b 4x4 0x6) SR: 67.85

21.4

Stirling to Yuvraj Singh, 2 runs, nicely played, Yuvraj gets one on the toes and clips it very fine through fine leg for a couple. And thankfully, Sunny Gavaskar is not on air to compare it with Ranji's leg glance. Oh wait, he is on air, but wasn't speaking at that moment.

21.5

Stirling to Yuvraj Singh, 2 runs, short ball, sits up outside off and Yuvraj quickly rocks back and guides into the covers for a single

Dockrell to Kohli, no run, Kohli leans half out of the crease and defends with the turn into the off side

22.4

White, the offie, comes on now.

23.1

White to Kohli, no run, tossed up, some loop there and turn into Kohli who defends

23.2

White to Kohli, 1 run, Kohli reaches out and chips a little airily down to long on for a single, the 100th run of the innings. He would have timed that better if not for the turn. It went off the inside half of the bat.

23.3

White to Yuvraj Singh, no run, generously flighted on off stump, Yuvraj drives straight to short cover

23.4

White to Yuvraj Singh, OUT, Is this game turning? Kohli is run out. Not the first time we have seen poor running from the Indian top-order. Short ball, turning away from Yuvraj and he goes for the cut. He played it pretty square, in that area where no one is sure whose call it is. Kohli thought there was a single, and ran almost all the way down. However, he seemed to stutter on the way. Yuvraj was initially sold on the single, but once he saw Kohli hesitate, he himself stopped. The throw to the bowler's end was not the most accurate, but it was good enough to catch Kohli well short.

V Kohli run out 34 (82m 53b 3x4 0x6) SR: 64.15

The skipper walks out. Well, of course...

23.5

White to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, tossed up on off stump, Yuvraj is driving well here, and gets a single wide of mid off

Slip in place.

23.6

White to Dhoni, 1 run, turns into Dhoni's pads and he works it square for a single.

Stirling to bowl now.

24.1

Stirling to Dhoni, no run, short of a length and turning into Dhoni's pads, worked away to midwicket

24.2

Stirling to Dhoni, no run, ahem, Dhoni lunges out to the pitch and eases the ball into midwicket and begins to scoot down the track. Yuvi sends him back, just in time

24.3

Stirling to Dhoni, 1 run, Dhoni hangs back and forces into the covers for a single

24.4

Stirling to Yuvraj Singh, no run, incisive lengths, turning well from leg stump, Yuvraj plays from the crease and defends

24.5

Stirling to Yuvraj Singh, no run, this one comes in with the arm, Yuvraj punches to midwicket where Mooney does well to cut off the single

24.6

Stirling to Yuvraj Singh, FOUR, ah, one bad ball has ruined a truly intense over. Yuvraj sees a marginal drop in length and pounces onto the backfoot before launching it regally almost all the way to the midwicket boundary.

Rankin comes on in a double change. Reminds me of Nantie Hayward, with the golden hair, green jersey and bustling free-spirited run up.

25.1

Rankin to Dhoni, no run, full length ball on off stump, Dhoni is stuck on the back foot as he pokes out into the covers

25.2

Rankin to Dhoni, no run, this one is a foot outside off, and Dhoni watches it closely on the way to the keeper

25.3

Rankin to Dhoni, no run, lovely bowling. Hayward wouldn't have minded that, it landed short of a length, pushing Dhoni back and then it jagged away off the seam, just past Dhoni's prod in hope.

25.4

Rankin to Dhoni, no run, full again, some more pace and he could have the captain in trouble. Dhoni is again late coming forward to defend

25.5

Rankin to Dhoni, 2 runs, marginally short, Dhoni is anxious to make the over count and goes for release with a pull shot, and he gets it backward of square leg. Dhoni's possibly the fastest runner in this team and he hares back for two

25.6

Rankin to Dhoni, no run, short of a length to end the over, and angling into Dhoni who defends cautiously

End of over 26 (2 runs) India 109/4 (99 runs required from 24 overs, RR: 4.19, RRR: 4.12)

Three bowling changes in three overs. White comes on now. Change of ends for him.

26.1

White to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, tossed up from round the wicket on Yuvraj's off stump, driven fluidly to long off for one

Arvind: "Nantie 'Wayward' he was. Rankin is much more disciplined in his bowling!"

So Boyd's Ranking higher than Nantie Wayward?

26.2

White to Dhoni, 1 run, tossed up outside off, Dhoni leans out to the pitch and drives against the spin through extra cover for one

26.3

White to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, the stop and see before delivering the ball routine from White, Yuvraj waits and guides the cut to the deep for a single

26.4

White to Dhoni, no run, aha, this one turns in sharply and comes on slowly, Dhoni had to adjust his cut shot and eventually doubled up in shock as it came in and popped up off the bat to the off side

26.5

White to Dhoni, FOUR, ohh, White. Full-toss outside off, Dhoni hands out the punishment. Cover-driven to the gallows.

26.6

White to Dhoni, no run, again flight, this time it lands and breaks in. Dhoni plays against the spin to mid off where Johnston (I think) does well to stop it

Vish: "After few years, might be England players want to go and join the Irish team."

27.1

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, length ball from over the wicket, Yuvraj plays it from the crease but keeps it out safely since it doesn't move off the track

27.2

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, hits the deck this time and hurries Yuvraj into the steered cut, and he gets a single to third man.

27.3

Rankin to Dhoni, 1 run, short delivery angled into Dhoni who skips across and nurdles through square leg. He thinks of two, but the fielder in the deep runs in like the wind to deny him strike;.

27.4

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, short of a length on leg and middle, Yuvraj hangs back again and pokes into the leg side

27.5

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, short ball this time, enough width for the cut, but Yuvraj can't find the gap. Chopped into the ground, and on the bounce to the point man

27.6

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, finishes with one on a fuller length around off stump and this time, Yuvraj comes forward to angle it to point

28.2

White to Yuvraj Singh, no run, short but not wide enough for the cut, Yuvraj flat-bats without timing into the covers

28.3

White to Yuvraj Singh, no run, this one is short and wide as well, but Yuvraj again finds the fielder with a well-timed cut

28.4

White to Yuvraj Singh, no run, hustles him on to the backfoot with a quicker one and it is bunted back to the bowler

28.5

White to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, this time on the pads, Yuvraj works it throught midwicket for one

28.6

White to Dhoni, no run, Dhoni tries to winkle another single to the leg side, but can't get the gap

29.1

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, top fielding this. Short ball outside off, Yuvraj plays his go-to shot, the crunched cut, and it is parried by the point fielder diving to his left. Porterfield at cover-point tidies up and Yuvraj can't get even one for it

29.2

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, and the frustration from that ball nearly cost him his wicket here. Short delivery, bustling in at 131 kph without room, but Yuvraj went for the hurried pull and missed. So close to the edge.

29.3

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, another short ball, comes off the pitch really fast and Yuvraj is caught on the hop after thinking of the pull

29.4

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, this is smart, very smart. Just for a change, he delivers a full ball outside off and seens if Yuvraj wants to drive. He doesn't

29.5

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, another bouncer like he means it. They aren't clocking too many kph on the speedos, but the direction is impeccable. Yuvraj again hops out of the way

29.6

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, no run, ends with another feeler outside off, Yuvraj lets it go. Superb maiden from Rankin.

30.2

30.3

Dockrell to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, slower through the air, Yuvraj waits and nurdles backward of square for a single

30.4

Dockrell to Dhoni, 1 run, dropped short this time, Dhoni hangs back and whacks it through covers for a single

30.5

Dockrell to Yuvraj Singh, 2 runs, oho, what happened there? Yuvraj gets a short ball, well outside off, and goes for the pull. He doesn't time it that wekk and gets it down to long on, and the fielder is standing quite wide. He runs across and stops the boundary, but Dhoni hares back for two

30.6

Dockrell to Yuvraj Singh, 2 runs, an impeccable on-drive. Landed outside off and was turning in, but he had to get the front foot well across to reach the pitch of the ball. Once he did that, the placement came next. He spanked it with a flourish to the left of Dockrell, well to the right of short midwicket and even the man running to his right from wide long-on cuts it off

31.4

Rankin to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, Yuvraj gets a single off Rankin after a long time, short ball tucking him up and he clips it square for a single

31.5

45.5

Mooney to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, Yuvraj gets to his half-century, the first man to make 50 and take five in the same match in the World Cup, he got to the milestone by pushing the ball towards mid-off

45.6

Mooney to Pathan, FOUR, Yusuf finishes it off, Ireland tried hard but couldn't pull off another miracle at the Chinnaswamy, a short ball on legstump, Yusuf walks across and pulls it to the boundary to bring up the winning runs

Hats off to the Irish for another spirited show, for a while Indian fans were having anxious moments, but the partnership between Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni settled their nerves, and Yusuf's big hits towards the end hastened the finish. The Irish fielding was top-class and their spinners were also impressive on a pitch that was difficult to bat on.

Ian Hale: "No matter the result, another solid performance from Ireland, especially when you consider they haven't been able to bowl out Johnston today. It'll be a crime if the ICC don't support their development further from here. "

India are now top of the table with five points, level with England on points but ahead on net run rate.

Virat Kohli: "It was a slow wicket, and they were bowling it on the stumps so me and Sachin tried to build a partnership." He says he told Sachin that the ball was going on to hit when Sachin asked whether they should go for the review.

Hang on for the post-match presentation
Porterfield "We got ourselves in a great position after losing two early wicket, till the run-out of Niall. An extra 40 runs would have been interesting. We are a fighting side, we got three early wickets, there was spin in the pitch, There are three games left, there's no reason we can't beat any of those teams." Hard to figure what he's saying with that Irish accent.

Dhoni "I think the Irish fielders backed up their bowlers very well. Everyone got a chance to bat, everyone was under pressure, it was very good exposure for the batsmen, the No. 7 batsmen is important. We are showing signs of improvement in bowling, and fielding will be the same, our exceptional fielders can get better, our slow fielders will remain the same." He says Ireland made 207 look like 240.

Yuvraj Singh is the Man of the Match: "Very happy with my bowling, happy to finish the game, Ireland played well to put us under pressure. Have been discussing with MS what kind of pace I should bowl at. Five-for gives you a lot of confidence when you come out to bat. I think they fielded exceptionally, we had to play really well. I'm hitting the ball well down the ground." Yuvraj is a happy man.

Sriram Veera has the match bulletin here, and the latest points table is here.
