ICC Cricket World Cup - 28th match, Group B

Bangladesh v England

Bangladesh won by 2 wickets (with 6 balls remaining)

Andrew Strauss and Matt Prior make their way out to the middle. Will Bangladesh open with spin? Not straight away, it's Shafiul Islam to start

2.25pm We are having the pre-match anthems then it will be time for the action. Cracking atmosphere inside the stadium.

2.15pm "Early set back," says Giri. "I opted for Ashraful in my fantasy team."

"Talk of playing three spinners so, in the end, we just play Swann!" says Mark Kidger. "Methinks that the powers that be are noticing that Yardy is effective in T20 but, in ODIs, just provides the buffet and if he isn't going to bat, becomes an expensive luxury."

2.10pm So Collingwood gets another chance to keep his international career alive. He has a pair of dodgy knees and his form isn't great, but we all know the size of his heart. He'll have to bowl plenty of overs today, too, with Yardy pushed aside after struggling for runs and wickets in the tournament. Will it also be the day to see Ravi Bopara with the ball? If anyone knows the point of James Tredwell in this squad send answers on a postcard.

Shakib looked fairly chilled out at the toss but he knows how much pressure is on his team today. It will be a full house in Chittagong and they'll want a fighting display from the home side.

This isn't the only game going on. Over in Mohali, West Indies have made 275 against Ireland with Kieron Pollard clubbing 94 off 55 balls. Should be a good run chase.

2.00pm Here we go. Bangladesh win the toss and England bat. Shakib clearly doesn't want a repeat of the West Indies game. Andrew Strauss says he would probably have bowled first as well.

Interesting team news too from England. Matt Prior is back to open Paul Collingwood returns to the side and Ajmal Shahzad replaces Stuart Broad. Michael Yardy misses out. And, of course, Eoin Morgan replaces Pietersen

For Bangladesh, Mahmudullah replaces Mohammad Ashraful as was suggested yesterday.

Bangladesh 1 Tamim Iqbal, 2 Imrul Kayes, 3 Junaid Siddique, 4 Raqibul Hasan, 5 Shakib Al Hasan (capt), 6 Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), 7 Mahmudullah, 8 Naeem Islam, 9 Abdur Razzak, 10 Shafiul Islam, 11 Rubel Hossain

England 1 Andrew Strauss (capt), 2 Matt Prior (wk), 3 Jonathan Trott, 4 Ian Bell, 5 Eoin Morgan, 6 Ravi Bopara, 7 Paul Collingwood, 8 Tim Bresnan, 9 Graeme Swann, 10 Ajmal Shahzad, 11 James Anderson

1.55pm The toss and team news will be here shortly and all in all it should be an intriguing day. You can follow all the latest updates on our Twitter page and, if you are a Chrome user, there's our fancy toolbar which is full of useful features.

1.45pm Hello and welcome to our coverage of the second of today's two World Cup matches, this one coming from Chittagong as Bangladesh take on England. It promises to be a fascinating clash as the home side try to rally after their awful display against West Indies, while England look to build on their thrilling six-run win against South Africa. I'm Andrew McGlashan and along with Sahil Dutta will take you through all the action while 'the father of Bangladesh cricket', Andrew Miller, is on the bulletin and he also wrote this preview.

This is a vital day for Bangladesh. They were rolled for 58 by West Indies and some of the fans didn't take the defeat well as they pelted the team buses with stones. It was a minority and Bangladesh fans will want to show their true support for the team today. They know they can push England close having beaten them at Bristol last year and victory here would give them a chance of still making the quarter-finals.

Things haven't gone right for England since victory over South Africa with both Kevin Pietersen and Stuart Broad forced to fly home with injuries, although the suggestion is that KP may not have needed too much forcing to get on the plane. It has raised further questions about his future as my colleague, Sahil Dutta, examines here. The loss of Broad is a massive blow after he took 4 for 15 against South Africa and finally looked to have kick-started his injury-hit winter. But he picked up a side strain in that game and it proved too serious to continue.

Eoin Morgan is back to replace Pietersen, and that arguably strengthens England, but we are still awaiting confirmation as to who comes in for Broad. Chris Tremlett is now an official part of the squad, but there's also Ajmal Shahzad and James Tredwell to consider.

0.1

Shafiul Islam to Strauss, 1 wide, begins with a wide down the leg side...a gentle loosener

0.1

Shafiul Islam to Strauss, 1 run, on leg stump, a hint of swing but it's easily flicked out to deep square leg

0.2

Shafiul Islam to Prior, no run, that's a good one, Prior is beaten by one which straightens from outside off stump and draws the batsman into a loose push

0.3

Shafiul Islam to Prior, no run, beauty! Two in two, but this one was better. Started closer to the stumps and held its line to zip past the outside edge. Squared up Prior completely

Encouragement for the seamers early on

0.4

Shafiul Islam to Prior, no run, fuller and wider outside off which allows Prior to leave alone

Already a huge amount of noise around the ground when each ball is delivered

0.5

Shafiul Islam to Prior, 1 run, back of a length outside off, driven square towards backward point who can't stop it cleanly despite a good dive

0.6

Shafiul Islam to Strauss, 1 run, worked off middle and leg to the man at deep square

Early movement with the new ball so it's important Bangladesh make the most of it

End of over 1 (4 runs) England 4/0 (RR: 4.00)
AJ Strauss    2* (2b)      Shafiul Islam    1-0-4-0
MJ Prior    1* (4b)

So it's seam from both ends with Rubel Hossain sharing the new ball

1.1

Rubel Hossain to Strauss, no run, on off stump, Strauss defends on the back foot to the leg side

1.2

Rubel Hossain to Strauss, no run, a strangled shout for lbw as Strauss misses a pull, beaten by a lack of bounce, but it's still going well over the stumps

A wide slip and a short midwicket in place

1.3

Rubel Hossain to Strauss, 2 runs, worked away through midwicket, nicely placed and allows time for a couple as deep square scampers around

1.4

Rubel Hossain to Strauss, no run, another appeal for lbw as Strauss misses another pull, this shout is more elongated but it's pitched well outside leg stump...oh my goodness, they review it. What a waste. It started not out and it's still not out.

1.5

Rubel Hossain to Strauss, no run, that's a good one outside off, pushed across Strauss who felt for it playing away from his body

1.6

Rubel Hossain to Strauss, no run, back of a length and solidly defended back towards the bowler

A tricky start for the batsmen and a very odd review from Shakib

End of over 3 (6 runs) England 12/0 (RR: 4.00)
MJ Prior    6* (9b 1x4)      Shafiul Islam    2-0-10-0

End of over 4 (1 run) England 13/0 (RR: 3.25)

4.3

Shafiul Islam to Prior, 2 runs, a touch straight this time, Prior works it through midwicket

4.4

Shafiul Islam to Prior, FOUR, that's a lovely shot, a long half volley which Prior leans into and drives it perfectly through the covers...that's how he plays in Test cricket

4.5

Shafiul Islam to Prior, 1 run, pushed towards leg stump, trying to compensate, and it's worked down to long leg

4.6

Shafiul Islam to Strauss, FOUR, edged! Strauss loses control as he drives but no second slip in place, although it may have been wide of him, and it beats third man to cross the rope

End of over 5 (12 runs) England 25/0 (RR: 5.00)
AJ Strauss    11* (16b 1x4)      Shafiul Islam    3-0-22-0

Rubel aborts his run-up

5.5

Rubel Hossain to Prior, no run, back of a length, Prior again can't work the ball past midwicket

5.6

AJ Strauss    11* (16b 1x4)      Shafiul Islam    3-0-22-0

First change of bowling and it's Naeem Islam into the attack with his offspin...it was only a matter of time, but there had been some movement with the new ball

6.1

6.6

Naeem Islam to Strauss, FOUR, ah, that's a shame, hint of width which allows Strauss to cut again and this time it flies finer through third man

End of over 7 (4 runs) England 31/0 (RR: 4.42)
AJ Strauss    15* (22b 2x4)      Naeem Islam    1-0-4-0
MJ Prior    15* (20b 2x4)      Rubel Hossain    3-0-5-0

Rubel's tight spell is over and it's Abdur Razzak with left-arm spin around the wicket

7.1

Abdur Razzak to Prior, 1 wide, OUT, gone! What a bizzare dismissal, Prior has had a brain fade. It drifted down the leg side, Prior missed it and drags his back foot. Rahim takes off the bails and Prior is just safe, but then he stays out of his crease and Rahim shows brilliant awareness to pull the stump out of the ground to complete the stumping a second time. Brainless from Prior, superb from Rahim

MJ Prior st †Mushfiqur Rahim b Abdur Razzak 15 (35m 20b 2x4 0x6) SR: 75.00

Not everyone is quite as quick as Morgan, but Trott was caught on his heels

Halfway through the innings and this partnership building. Back to pace as Rubel Hossain returns to the attack. Will it reverse swing?

Rubel Hossain to Morgan, no run, tight on middle, nothing for Morgan to work with and he defends to cover

Another change as Naeem Islam comes back into the fray

27.2

Rubel Hossain to Trott, 1 run, fuller this time on off stump, pushed down to long on

Some clouds building up around the ground. Some talk of a chance of a storm later. Maybe another reason why Shakib bowled first

Rubel Hossain to Morgan, no run, ooh, well bowled, he cuts Morgan in half with one that nips back off the seam to the left hander

27.4

Rubel Hossain to Morgan, no run, defended into the off side

Thanks Gnasher. Gem of an innings from Morgan so far. Really can't say enough how well he's played. Anyway, here is Shafiul.

30.1

Shafiul Islam to Trott, no run, bustles in energetically as always but the line is wide and Trott drives to cover

30.2

Shafiul Islam to Trott, no run, Trott tries to steer this behind point but finds the man

30.3

Shafiul Islam to Trott, 1 run, happily picked off to deep square, it's rare Trott misses out on his legs

30.4

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, 1 run, touch too short and enough width for Morgan to steer a cut shot to deep third man

30.5

Shafiul Islam to Trott, no run, slower ball around off stump which Trott spots but can only pat to cover

30.6

Shafiul Islam to Trott, 1 run, stabbed into the ground and it bounces up over Shafiul's out-stretched hand for one

End of over 31 (3 runs) England 126/3 (RR: 4.06)
IJL Trott    40* (63b 1x4)      Shafiul Islam    4-0-25-0

Shakib is back. Needs to revive his side's fortunes this innings.

31.1

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, 1 run, Trott is on the reverse-sweep, not playing it entirely cleaning and it dribbles away for one

31.2

Shakib Al Hasan to Morgan, no run, Morgan on the reverse, big wind up as always but he too doesn't quite time it

31.3

Shakib Al Hasan to Morgan, 2 runs, with men set behind square for the reverse Morgan has a big gap in front of square to thump a couple into

31.4

Shakib Al Hasan to Morgan, 1 run, and this time with the softest of hands he runs a single to point

31.5

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, 2 runs, too short from Shakib, plenty of time for Trott to sit on the back foot and slug out to deep cover

31.6

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, no run, Shakib thinks he has Trott on review. It spun from around middle and clipped the top of the pad, right in front of off stump as Trott played back. Agonisingly, it's just an on-field call, the ball clipping off stump, so Bangladesh lose both reviews

End of over 32 (6 runs) England 132/3 (RR: 4.12)

32.1

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, 1 run, bit of grunt from Shafiul as he delivers and it slides off the face down to third man

32.2

Shafiul Islam to Trott, no run, Trott times a fuller ball very firmly down the ground to mid-off

32.3

Shafiul Islam to Trott, 1 run, Trott on the walk, ambling up the crease before prodding to point and haring a single

32.4

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, no run, big wind up from Morgan, looked like he wanted to flip into the leg side, but the line was too close to off and he had to defend

32.5

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, no run, good yorker here, Shafiul bustling in as usual but finding a good line this time

32.6

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, no run, very tight line cramps Morgan for room and it can only be patted back to the bowler

33.2

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, 1 run, worked carefully off middle into the leg side

33.3

Shakib Al Hasan to Morgan, 1 run, Morgan is timing the ball so well these chip shots are almost dangerous, it flies two-bounces out to the man at deep midwicket

33.4

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, no run, prodded from the crease into the leg side

33.5

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, 1 run, Trott pushes to cover and sets off for a tight single

33.6

Shakib Al Hasan to Morgan, 2 runs, sloppy from Bangladesh, misfield at cover turns a dot into two. Just a dangerous period for the home side here, they're letting a very good start be undone

End of over 34 (5 runs) England 139/3 (RR: 4.08)
EJG Morgan    49* (58b 7x4)      Shakib Al Hasan    4-0-20-0

34.1

Shafiul Islam to Trott, 1 run, this keeps a touch low and with Trott sitting on the back foot he had to hurriedly stab it out on the leg side

34.2

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, no run, flash and a miss outside off stump! It was up there to drive but Morgan, one away from 50, missed it

34.3

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, 1 run, fifty for Morgan, his 11th and, in the circumstances, one of the best. Coming off the back of a flight from England he's sauntered into a tense World Cup encounter on a sluggish pitch and played dreamily

34.4

Shafiul Islam to Trott, 1 run, Trott solidly pushes a single down the ground. What a contrasting pair these two are

34.5

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, no run, exchange of words from the fiery Shafiul and flinty Morgan. Strange to see Morgan drawn into any of that. It was a full ball that came off an inside edge back to Shafiul who fielded in his follow through

34.6

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, 2 runs, ah, very calmly done. After the words last delivery no hint of anything but clear thinking and Morgan coolly flicks wide of deep midwicket

End of over 35 (5 runs) England 144/3 (RR: 4.11)

Drinks here but a cracker brewing between Ireland and West Indies. What would Ireland do for Morgan in that chase! Still, they have Joyce back and he's leading it. 99 needed in 12.4 overs. Hmm... Group B eh? Here's Shakib...

35.1

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, no run, touch too short again from Shakib but Trott mistimes his drive

35.2

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, 1 run, again Trott is allowed to play off the back foot and works this easily to deep square

35.3

Shakib Al Hasan to Morgan, 1 run, tossed up a touch here and invited Morgan down the wicket to flick just wide of midwicket

35.4

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, no run, pushed back to the bowler

35.5

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, 1 run, fifty for Mr Consistency. Utter silence from the crowd, they've got more to worry about. Trott raises his bat but has nothing to acknowledge so quickly brings it back down again. Crucial innings though

35.6

Shakib Al Hasan to Morgan, no run, Morgan gets forward to defends

36.2

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, 1 run, deftly worked off the face to third man

36.3

Shafiul Islam to Trott, 1 run, full and straight ball meets a full and straight bat to milk down to long-on

36.4

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, 2 runs, nicely done from the batsman, couple of steps down the wicket before flicking around the corner

36.5

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, no run, good slower ball deceives Morgan enough to force a defence

36.6

Shafiul Islam to Morgan, FOUR, precise timing, precise placement, wonderful shot. Very easily flicked off the legs wide of deep midwicket for four. Shafiul looks despondent but not much wrong from him

37.5

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, no run, Trott sits on the back foot and works to square leg

38.2

Naeem Islam to Trott, no run, Trott aims his favourite work to leg but can't get anything on it

38.3

Naeem Islam to Trott, 1 run, this time Trott finds the shot and ambles a single

38.4

Naeem Islam to Morgan, OUT, magic for Bangladesh! Brilliant catch has brought them back into the game. Imrul Kayes running in from deep fine leg and diving to scoop the ball inches from the turf. Morgan got just too much top-edge on a sweep and it was enough to end a mighty comeback innings

EJG Morgan c Imrul Kayes b Naeem Islam 63 (84m 72b 8x4 0x6) SR: 87.50

Wickets are always welcome but Bangladesh really needed that. Ravi Bopara is the new man but beneath him Collingwood is out of form and it's the bowlers.

38.5

Naeem Islam to Bopara, no run, Bopara watches the spin and prods it around the corner

38.6

Naeem Islam to Bopara, 1 run, touch short means the ball sits up and allows Bopara to punch a single down the ground and steal the strike

39.2

Shakib Al Hasan to Bopara, 1 run, more air from Shakib here and Bopara's flowing drive heads out to deep cover. They think about two but neither are great runners

39.3

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, FOUR, too short again from Shakib, how many times has he been too short today!? Trott needs no second invitation to whip through midwicket and times it well enough to beat a tumbling effort on the boundary

39.4

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, no run, spin here, real spin from outside leg

39.5

Shakib Al Hasan to Trott, no run, carefully blocked this time

40.1

Abdur Razzak to Trott, 3 runs, brings out the reverse sweep again, goes very fine past the keeper and pulls up just short of the rope

40.2

41.5

Shakib Al Hasan to Bopara, no run, walks around his crease but ends up being taken on he pad

41.6

Shakib Al Hasan to Bopara, 1 run, is this out? Trott struggling to make his ground again, but the throw is poor and with a stretch he makes it. Bopara had given himself room to drive through the off side, but rifled it straight at cover. A good throw and Trott was gone

Powerplay anyone?

42.5

Abdur Razzak to Trott, 1 run, another quick single to cover as Trott drives, but this time it's a little more comfortable

42.6

Abdur Razzak to Bopara, 1 run, moves around the crease but just tickles it to short fine leg

Another Powerplay cock-up for England? 220 might still be enough, but they just can't work out these overs. However, another useful innings from Trott although he still won't please everyone

Graeme Swann has been promoted...positive move

43.5

Shakib Al Hasan to Bopara, 1 run, drives out to cover

43.6

Shakib Al Hasan to Swann, FOUR, that's the way to do it...first ball Swann brings out the reverse hit over cover, connects well and collects the first boundary of the Powerplay

End of over 44 (6 runs) England 187/5 (RR: 4.25)
GP Swann    4* (1b 1x4)      Shakib Al Hasan    9-0-44-1
RS Bopara    9* (18b)      Abdur Razzak    9-2-21-1

44.1

Abdur Razzak to Bopara, 1 run, backs away to leg and yet again finds the fielder on the edge of the cover ring

44.2

Abdur Razzak to Swann, 1 run, fired in at leg stump and Swann works it out to square leg

44.3

Abdur Razzak to Bopara, FOUR, finally manages to get one through the covers, did well to connect well enough as it didn't bounce much but it was very short and gave Bopara plenty of time

44.4

Abdur Razzak to Bopara, 2 runs, lofted straight down the ground and Swann is quickly back to the non-striker's end

44.5

Abdur Razzak to Bopara, OUT, another goes in the Powerplay...Bopara's struggle is over as he backs away and slaps it straight to cover. He couldn't play the finishing role today

RS Bopara c Naeem Islam b Abdur Razzak 16 (22m 22b 1x4 0x6) SR: 72.72

Bangladesh taking wickets at vital times

Paul Collingwood in at No. 8...he's a bowler today

44.6

Abdur Razzak to Collingwood, 3 wides, drifts down the leg side, misses everything so a bonus ball for England

44.6

Abdur Razzak to Collingwood, no run, pushes forward with bat and pad together, Swann wants a single but has to turn quickly to get back

Ends an excellent 10 overs for Razzak...2 for 32 and he's bowled at crucial times

End of over 45 (11 runs) England 198/6 (RR: 4.40)
PD Collingwood    0* (1b)      Abdur Razzak    10-2-32-2
GP Swann    5* (2b 1x4)      Shakib Al Hasan    9-0-44-1

Rubel Hossain back into the attack

45.1

Rubel Hossain to Swann, no run, starts with a good leg-stump yorker which Swann can only drill back down the pitch

45.2

Rubel Hossain to Swann, 1 run, on target again with a yorker, angled down to short third man

45.3

Rubel Hossain to Collingwood, 2 runs, down the pitch and makes it into a full toss which is then whipped through square leg...brings up England's 200

45.4

Rubel Hossain to Collingwood, 1 run, uses his feet again and works another full ball through straight midwicket

45.5

Rubel Hossain to Swann, FOUR, doesn't pitch again, Swann backs away to give himself room and thumps it well over mid-off

45.6

Rubel Hossain to Swann, 1 run, that's better, right at the base of leg stump which means Swann can only dig it out down the ground

So the Powerplay ends with 33 for 2 from those five overs. Not a complete disaster for England

End of over 46 (9 runs) England 207/6 (RR: 4.50)
GP Swann    11* (6b 2x4)      Rubel Hossain    7-0-29-0
PD Collingwood    3* (3b)      Abdur Razzak    10-2-32-2

Shakib back for his final over

46.1

Shakib Al Hasan to Swann, 1 run, gives himself room and cuts into the off side

46.2

Shakib Al Hasan to Collingwood, no run, down the pitch and gets into a tangle

46.3

Shakib Al Hasan to Collingwood, 1 run, opens the face and pushes into the off side

46.4

Shakib Al Hasan to Swann, OUT, gone...Swann's reverse hit brings his downfall as he skies it very high and Shakib steadies himself underneath the catch

GP Swann c & b Shakib Al Hasan 12 (12m 8b 2x4 0x6) SR: 150.00

That was Swann's job, he can't be blamed for that...but England need to bat out the overs first and foremost now

46.5

Shakib Al Hasan to Collingwood, 1 run, the batsmen crossed when Swann was out, so Collingwood works away out to deep midwicket

46.6

Shakib Al Hasan to Bresnan, 2 runs, nicely driven through the off side by Bresnan who places it wide of long off

End of over 47 (5 runs) England 212/7 (RR: 4.51)
TT Bresnan    2* (1b)      Shakib Al Hasan    10-0-49-2
PD Collingwood    5* (6b)      Rubel Hossain    7-0-29-0

Eighteen balls left for England...Rubel continues

47.1

Rubel Hossain to Collingwood, 2 runs, missed run out! Rubel couldn't collect the ball at the stumps and Bresnan would have been miles out. Collingwood had work it through midwicket and it was never two runs

47.2

Rubel Hossain to Collingwood, 1 run, stays very deep in his crease and clubs down to long on

47.3

Rubel Hossain to Bresnan, OUT, gone! England falling away at the end as Bresnan swings at a low full toss and sends a simple catch to backward point. Bresnan waited to see if it was above waist height but it's fine

TT Bresnan c Shafiul Islam b Rubel Hossain 2 (2m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

Bangladesh could bowl England out here

47.4

Rubel Hossain to Collingwood, 1 run, uses his feet again and pushes this down to long on

47.5

Rubel Hossain to Shahzad, no run, no repeat of his first-ball six against India as he's beaten outside off by one that scoots through

47.6

Rubel Hossain to Shahzad, 1 run, driven into the covers so he'll keep the strike

End of over 48 (5 runs) England 217/8 (RR: 4.52)
A Shahzad    1* (2b)      Rubel Hossain    8-0-34-1
PD Collingwood    9* (9b)      Shakib Al Hasan    10-0-49-2

Shafiul Islam back for the penultimate over

48.1

Shafiul Islam to Shahzad, OUT, gone! full, straight, Shahzad had a swing and missed. Superb finish to the innings for Bangladesh. Not very clever from Shahzad

A Shahzad b Shafiul Islam 1 (2m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 33.33

Apart from Trott and Morgan this has been poor from England...much as it was only Trott and Bopara against South Africa

James Anderson is the last man...can England see out 11 deliveries?

48.2

Shafiul Islam to Anderson, no run, cracker first up, moves away past Anderson's outside edge...too good for the No. 11

48.3

Shafiul Islam to Anderson, 1 wide, pushed across well wide of off stump and that'll be an extra

48.3

Shafiul Islam to Anderson, no run, beaten again outside off, top stuff from Shafiul

Collingwood stuck at the non-striker's end on nine...he'll have to bowl 10 overs to justify his selection

48.4

Shafiul Islam to Anderson, no run, beaten again...three times in the over, very full and it reverses past the outside edge

48.5

Shafiul Islam to Anderson, 1 run, superb delivery, a full, late, reverse swinger which Anderson someone edges down to third man

48.6

Shafiul Islam to Collingwood, no run, excellent finish...it's full and wide, Collingwood tries to jab it away but is beaten and they can't steal a bye. Then, quite oddly, the umpire's decide to ask to check with the third umpire. It can't be a Bangladesh review as they had none left, but it looks like they were persuaded to check

End of over 49 (2 runs) England 219/9 (RR: 4.46)
PD Collingwood    9* (10b)      Shafiul Islam    8-0-43-1
JM Anderson    1* (4b)      Rubel Hossain    8-0-34-1

49.1

Rubel Hossain to Anderson, 1 run, he does what needs to, opens the face and pushes into the off side

49.2

Rubel Hossain to Collingwood, 2 runs, stands deep in the crease and heaves down to long on...Anderson races back and a poor throw means he makes it

49.3

Rubel Hossain to Collingwood, 2 runs, bunted down to long on, the throw goes to the batsman's end this time but Collingwood is safe

49.4

Rubel Hossain to Collingwood, 1 run, OUT, gone...all out, England don't see out 50 overs. A low full toss is pulled into midwicket, the fielder races it and with a strong throw hits direct

PD Collingwood run out 14 (29m 13b 0x4 0x6) SR: 107.69

Bangladesh finish with the momentum and will need 226 to keep their World Cup hopes alive. The hosts can be pleased with that effort, but this was never a 300 pitch so it's not easy to judge how good a total this is. As so often with Bangladesh it will be down to Tamim to set the tone. If he blazes at the top they can chase them, but if he falls early the pressure will be huge on the middle order. England only have four frontline bowlers so they'll need good overs from Paul Collingwood and probably Ravi Bopara. Andrew Miller wraps up the action in his bulletin. We'll be back in around half an hour for the chase, but in the meantime you can catch up with what happened in Mohali today between West Indies and Ireland.
