ICC Cricket World Cup - 30th match, Group A

Canada v New Zealand

New Zealand won by 97 runs

9.5

Baidwan to Guptill, OUT, Wonderful Ashish Bagai! What a keeper! He was standing up to the stumps and takes a loverly catch. Guptill got the edge on the defensive prod and Bagai moved his hands quickly to cover the deviation. Good delivery too; it landed on a good length and just about cut away a bit

MJ Guptill c †Bagai b Baidwan 17 (45m 29b 3x4 0x6) SR: 58.62

New Zealand 53/1   BB McCullum 32* (30b 5x4 1x6)   HS Baidwan 1.5-0-11-1

29.2

Davison to Ryder, OUT, Ryder has seen the suicide button, and pressed it with glee. A 100 for the taking against this dawdle of a Canadian attack, and he's let the opportunity go after doing the hard work. Ryder tosses it up on the off stump, Ryder gets under it and then is not sure just how hard to hit it. He plays a half-hearted chip in the end, and sends it straight to long on. He is livid, and smashes his pads on the way back. That wasn't a long boundary either.

JD Ryder c Osinde b Davison 38 (80m 56b 3x4 0x6) SR: 67.85

Balaji Rao to Taylor, OUT, Bala strikes with a lovely delivery. It was a flighted leg break on a good length around off and middle. Brave delivery. Correct delivery. Rosco goes for the big hit down the ground but the ball turns and he gets the edge. Hansra moved forward from backward point and dived forward to take a good catch. The Rosco show is over.

LRPL Taylor c Hansra b Balaji Rao 74 (60m 44b 6x4 5x6) SR: 168.18

42.1

Balaji Rao to NL McCullum, OUT, Balaji gives us another lovely dismissal. A flighted loopy dipping leg break that drifted towards leg, luring Nathan to try playing it to the leg and the turn forces him to get a leading edge. Balaji lunges to his right to pouch that. A classic leggie's wicket. Lovely drift there

NL McCullum c & b Balaji Rao 10 (30m 9b 2x4 0x6) SR: 111.11

New Zealand 259/5   KS Williamson 5* (7b)   WD Balaji Rao 7.1-0-44-2

Baidwan to Styris, OUT, Styris falls to a full toss. He swings it towards long-on where Davison moves in to take a good low catch, lunging forward

New Zealand 318/6   KS Williamson 28* (22b 3x4)   HS Baidwan 9-0-81-3
