0.3 to MDKJ Perera, similar delivery, leaves Perera a little and he edges to second slip! Simple catch from Jordan and an early strike for England. Perera feeling for the ball slightly that's angled across him, no real foot movement and it was a thick outside edge and an easy chance for Jordan. 3/1
804765.87266050
10.5 to DPMD Jayawardene, full just outside off, driven and edged to slip! Another big wicket and Woakes strikes on his return. A loose drive from Jayawardene and a thick outside edge flies to around a second slip where Jrodan takes a very solid catch at shoulder height, got to him pretty quickly. 59/3
44.2 to KC Sangakkara, back of a length, clears the front leg and swings leg side and picks out deep midwicket. Another clean strike but didn't get the elevation/couldn't keep it down, and flew it straight to Root who came in a few yards to take a straightforward chance. Sangakkara falls just short of a century again. 199/6
44.6 to BMAJ Mendis, bumper, Mendis struck on the helmet trying to hook and it loops back to Woakes who appeals for the catch, not out given but Woakes goes for the review straight away and the replay shows a clear top edge so this will be overturned and Mendis is out caught and bowled. The short ball works for Woakes. 202/7
46.5 to SMSM Senanayake, goes down the track and looks to swing down the ground but misses and is bowled! England continue to pick up wickets. A wild swipe this really, got in a poor position. And not sure why he's trying to swing that anyway after just a couple of deliveries. Down goes the leg stump. 212/8
48.4 to NLTC Perera, full at the stumps and smashed leg side, it sounded clunky, and it finds deep midwicket. Another easy catch for Joe Root coming a few yards off the boundary. Perera not finding the connection on this occasion and his very useful cameo comes to an end. 238/9
48.6 to BAW Mendis, full and straight and cleans him up! The batsman totally missing the ball and losing his middle and off stumps, completing a fine spell from Woakes, the first five-for by an England bowler in Sri Lanka, finished the innings off very nicely. 239/10

9.4 to TM Dilshan, length a foot wide of off stump, tries to whack it through the off side again and drags on! Big wicket for England and the change works. A little lazy from Dilshan just trying to throw his hands at this and he's paid the price with a thick inside edge into off stumps. 54/2
33.6 to AD Mathews, back of a length on the stumps, Mathews goes for a short-arm paddle pull and gets a thick top edge that carries to long leg! There's the breakthrough England so needed. Funny stroke, Mathews just looking to help this on it's way around the corner but maybe got surprised by the pace. A big top edge flew down to Woakes who bagged a simple catch. 144/4
1023313.30403010
40.2 to HDRL Thirimanne, swept from the off stump, misses, there's a cry for lbw and given out! The umpire had a long think but raised the finger. Thirimanne goes for the review. Did he get outside the line? Possibility of an underedge too maybe. Nope that's plumb in line with middle and off and Hawk Eye has it going on to hit middle an inch from the top, so an excellent decision from the umpire and Tredwell strikes. 173/5

47.4 to RS Bopara, a shuffle down and tries to swing this out of the ground but doesn't quite get all of it and it's taken by long-on! An excellent catch stumbling towards the rope but he held on well a foot inside the boundary. It was firm strike from Bopara but he couldn't get the elevation right and it was a good catch. 225/4
1003523.50331000
1.4 to MM Ali, goes for a slog sweep, misses and is bowled! And it's ugly too. A hack to leg really, a complete miss and the off stump is clipped back. That didn't look good. Maybe he was anticipating turn away from the stumps? It went straight on, past the heave to leg and took out off stump. Not very good that all considered from Moeen. 12/1
7.6 to AN Cook, forward, beaten on the inside edge again, another lbw cry and this time given out! Cook has a chat with Taylor but declines to review and trudges off. Cook misreads the delivery again, absolutely no spin, it slid on past the inside edge, striking the pad below the knee roll and the umpire, after a long think, was sure it was going on to hit leg stump probably. Hawk Eye has it clipping a fair chunk of leg stump. 35/2

48.6 to EJG Morgan, tries to win it and caught on the rope! Morgan can't quite finish the job, going for a bit shot over long-on, didn't get all of it and it was solidly held. 238/5
602614.33161000
28.5 to JWA Taylor, back of a length and pulled away, bit of a top edge and finds long leg! Poor dismissal and Taylor falls when going so well and Sri Lanka have a badly-needed breakthrough. Taylor couldn't keep the pull down and flew it straight to the fielder who claimed an easy chance. Quite an innocuous dismissal.... 139/3
