Nurtured by the Dutch youth system from Under-15 level, Pieter Seelaar made his debut as a canny 18-year-old left-arm spinner but found fame, momentarily, for his penguin dance after dismissing England captain Paul Collingwood in Netherland's historic win in the opening game of the 2009 World Twenty20. Seelaar is not a great spinner of the ball but his economy rate is good and, despite being just 21 years old, knows his game well. He missed out on the World Cup in 2007 but was impressive in India four years later, dismissing both Kevin Pietersen and Sachin Tendulkar and finishing as Netherlands' leading wicket taker. Seelaar's favourite player is another left-arm spinner who started young - Daniel Vettori.
