Envis Williams started playing cricket as a child just for fun. Little did she know that at the age of 42 she would still be playing - and at international level, for Williams, a right hand bat and right arm medium pace bowler, will head for her second World Cup in South Africa in 2005. She first played representative cricket in 1987, for Tobago, and was first selected for West Indies to play in the World Cup in India in 1997. She toured India and Pakistan in 2004, where she took her best figures of 3 for 9. A natural athlete, Williams has also played for the national soccer team.
