@RandyOZ It so happens that Aus an away test against the "minnow" in 8 years. Thrashed 2-0 twice in a row, the mighty OZ are all set for another whitewash. They were lucky that the last series was only a two match one , which they lost 2-0. No such luck this time around!
Posted by Imsrk on (November 20, 2012, 10:16 GMT)@Randy oz. I think u shud be more worried abt Yor team against SA. Moreover still India and ENG r far better than current AUS side ( equal to BD) which will be prove next year when u tour India and play against ENG
Posted by Nduru on (November 20, 2012, 8:17 GMT)Fair point @Harpreet! Us Zimbabweans need to cling on to whatever small amount there is to be proud of with our cricket ; )
Posted by chamma87 on (November 20, 2012, 4:00 GMT)CricketMaan then what abu yuvis lbw.y ppl dont talk about it.he was out first over in the second day,and also for your information when sachin scored 140+ in SA he was plumb lbw at 46 against paul harris, then shewag scored 294 against Sl when he survived a plumb lbw at 31,those things happens, live with it
Posted by Tests_are_the_best on (November 19, 2012, 17:32 GMT)@cric_fan123 add to that Saeed Anwar, Sanath Jayasuriya, Graeme Fowler and Jimmy Adams. Surprisingly Brian Lara does not feature in that list as he seldom toured India for Test Series.
Posted bygreat Cook is Great Fighter !!!
Posted by RandyOZ on (November 19, 2012, 16:55 GMT)England's inevitable slide to their rightful place at the bottom of the table continues. First the Pakistan whitewash (which never happened), then the South African debacle (which never happened) and now the Indian catastrophe (against a fellow minnow) which IS happening!
Posted by Harpreet on (November 19, 2012, 16:50 GMT)@Nduru ............ Andy Flower's knock was very good one but on a featherbed which was not the case with Cook
Posted byAlastair Cook ought to be the Man of the Match. Meticulous innings, he played!
Posted byIt could have been India's victory much earlier if the " Umpire's had emulated their Feat against visiting (Indian) Team in 2011...."
Posted by Ross_Co on (November 19, 2012, 12:24 GMT)Of course Flower was playing for a much better team.
Posted by tanstell87 on (November 19, 2012, 12:24 GMT)@cric_fan123 - u forgot Chanderpaul & Jayasuriya in that list.
Posted by Nduru on (November 19, 2012, 11:48 GMT)Yeah, Cook's innings was a little longer in time, but it is not as great as Flower's knock, which must be the greatest second innings knock by a foreign batsman on Indian soil. He was not the opener, but the wicket keeper for a start, AND he saved the match for Zimbabwe, which Cook could not manage. Also, he had a much lesser group of support players around him than England currently has, so respect to them that they could help andy get to such a great score.
Posted by cric_fan123 on (November 19, 2012, 10:33 GMT)Whats with India and left handed batsman - specially openers. Andy Flower, Hayden and now Cook.
Posted byIf any visiting teams to India wants to win or intents to give a fight, then they have to score heavily at least in their first innings, otherwise they will be easily get mauled in Indian conditions.
Posted by CricketMaan on (November 19, 2012, 9:58 GMT)It could also been written 'England would have lost the match much earlier had it not been for the Cook's reprive by Dar when on 41'
