Raghul is very polite and does not want to step on delicate shoes. He should have prescribed boldly what changes are to be made.He has played with almost every one in the current team and he does not want to hurt them.It is very clear that batting has failed miserably .The team should have included a batsman like Tiwary coming in place of Yuvi to strengthen the middle order .Also ask Dhoni to play his natural game not plod.Sachin is certainly coming in the way of an youngster. If Dravid had not retired would Pujara have got a chance?Past players except Gangully are not keen to express their mind.
You should n't panic but this is what happens when selectors has no plan. Coach has no clue and dhoni has no clue. Dravid is talking politically correct and not pin point the problem. It is not bowling that caused the loss in Bombay and Calcutta. Dhoni won the toss and india fail to put the 550 score. ENgland would or any would struggle if they see 550 runs. It would be exact ahemedabad test repeat. Major issue with indian team is sehwag has to make century every inning for others to score easy. Pujara did well when sehwag played well. Basically i would drop sachin and gambhir along with yuvi , zaheer , bhajji. I think we have to move sehwag middle order. Someone has to do it. We have to create new atmosphere. I want completely new openers in old test mode batting so we prepared for South africa. India will lose next test because nagpur always green or flat or sporting track. So india have no chance of taking 20 wickets. I will also dump duncan fletcher and dhoni at end of series.
Superb comments. Looks like the only dependable expert off the field as much as he was on the field. Beautiful analysis. Not clouded by anger arising due to disappoinment, very objective at the sametime not unduly critical. Quite refreshing.
Love to see this interview. You want people to spit fire on the Indian team because we lost - that way our disappointment is ratified - it is some kind of self-justification we seek - tear the very team we love! These knee jerk reactions are not coming from Rahul. No wonder with this king of temperament he scaled all heights.
Rahul, well spoken... While you talked abt the bowlers, a mention of the batsman (non)performance would have been only fair...
i hope now the Selector can sit and think back how yet to full fill the loss of two great players VVS LAXMAN and RAHUL DRAVID.....just being arrogant under a stupid captain who is a big failure in tests is all not what indian cricket team wants....
if laxman and dravid were playing for india still ..we would have no ways lost to and england side...we just didnt have the players to play and occupy the batting crease....Sachin please plan your retirement ASAP..and the board if u got the guts then ask these two men to come back and play for the Indian team...Mr Rahul and Mr Laxman...we need them more than ever...
dravid said earlier before the start of this series "the result will be 3-1 in favour of India" now its look Dravid is right but he just missed a single word in his statement it shuld be like "the result will be 3-1 in favour of ENGLAND"
