99.5 to JP Duminy, caught behind! He's gone after a short ball, but hasn't accounted for the slowness of this track. Shuts his eyes and lets out a desperate yelp in disappointment. He looked set for a hundred, hasn't had one of those in two years. But New Zealand deserved this. Even if it comes in unusual circumstances. Dug in short, well wide of off stump, probably meant for the upper cut. But Duminy goes for the pull, the ball takes a bit of the bottom edge and goes through to Watling. 317/4

45.4 to SC Cook, has he caught it at gully? Williamson is quite confident, doesn't make too much of a show of it but he is confident. Soft signal from umpire Reiffel is out as well. It's a full delivery, drawing Cook into a drive on the up. Thickish outside edge flies low in front of the fielder, Williamson bends low and plucks it up with both hands.. 151/2
1416214.42567200
151.5 to K Rabada, "catch," yells the wicketkeeper as Rabada goes for the slog sweep. Picks out deep square leg. Nicholls complicates matters by taking it reverse cup with the ball was coming down below his waist. Has to crouch so low to pull it off. 463/8
3988652.2018712000
38.5 to Q de Kock, bounced him out! Nailed the pull shot, the only problem was that was well with the reach of the only man there. Boult backpeddles to the boundary, takes it with his back heel feet away from the advertising triangles. Wagner has his man. De Kock is gutted to lose his wicket to a ball he had timed the pants off of. 133/1
69.2 to HM Amla, that's a peach! Made one hold its line just enough to take the outside edge! Moved wide of the crease, had the ball swinging in at him first, changing direction after it pitches. Amid all that, it was hurtling into off stump at a good length so he had to play at an unplayable delivery. Gets a feather of an edge through to Watling. 246/3
110.6 to T Bavuma, bounced out! Wagner summons another beaut. That's his specialty. Hurrying the batsman, getting the ball high enough that his hook ends up as a top edge. The fielder at long leg runs in, eyes on the ball all the way, dives forward and takes an outstanding catch. Bracewell the man, superb technique. 342/5
136.5 to S van Zyl, an edge carries to slip! Wagner yells in triumph. Bends his back, gets the ball to hold its line, has the batsman pushing at the ball with hard hands because of the angle into him and Taylor at a wide slip takes a good catch. 426/6
146.3 to VD Philander, five for Wagner, what a homecoming! Went to school with Faf here in Centurion. It's not Faf he's got though. Philander is bowled through the gate as he goes driving. Old ball decks in and takes out off stump with a vengeance. Beautiful bowling. 442/7

4.3 to TWM Latham, not sure if there was an edge, Steyn's excited, he's convinced Faf to go for a review for caught behind after umpire Reiffel ruled not out. Ripper of a delivery though. Having plied Latham with drivable balls moving away from him, he gets one to nip back into the left-hander. Latham is late in responding to the variation. Cut in half. Was there an inside edge? Ultra Edge is put on it, there doesn't seem to be too much of a deflection. A squeaky minuscule... almost negligible spike. But would that have been off the bat? It is so small. Certainly hits the back pocket on its way through. But the third umpire gives it out. Richard Illingworth tells Latham he's outta here. Was there enough evidence to overrule the on-field decision of not out?. 13/2
37.3 to BJ Watling, big appeal for caught behind, de Kock is very certain, Faf at second slip goes for a review. Steyn keeps bowling short, trying to get the batsman to fend. Succeeds as Watling tries a little leg glance. Was there a little glove on it? The ball is terribly close to the glove, and the angle from behind the wicket seems to suggest there is a deflection. Ultra Edge throws up a deflection as the ball is in the vicinity of the glove and Watling goes. Steyn has his 50th wicket at SuperSport Park, averages 17.9 here! Two reviews this morning from Faf, both successful.. 106/5
57.5 to N Wagner, on the cards a bit. Continues to play the hook. A few took the middle. A few beat the top edge. This one gets a faint nick and ends up in the wicketkepeer's gloves. 214/9
1514322.86705000
3.3 to MJ Guptill, matter of time! van Zyl missed a chance in the last over off Philander, now he makes amends. Back of a length, seaming away, Guptill pushes just a bit away from his body, nicks off. 13/1
38.4 to MJ Santner, how is that for emphatic? Absolute peach from Big Vern! Pitches on off stump - made sure the batsman had to play. Decks the ball back in at the stumps - so he can exploit the gap between bat and pad, which is inevitable with a new batsman at the crease. Santner defends, gets an inside edge and hears his stumps being knocked down quite brutally. What a ball! Best of the morning!. 111/6
16.346233.75756121
30.5 to HM Nicholls, its the double bluff. Leg gully, and a fly slip were added. Nicholls expecting the short ball is stuck deep in his crease and is pinned by a really full one. Umpire Reffel says no to the lbw shout, Faf goes for a review and Nicholls looks plumb. There is no bat. So long as this pitched in line of the stumps, this is out. And it is pitching in line. Centurion roars along with the home team. 86/4
46.5 to DAJ Bracewell, lbw appeal, and given. Bracewell thinks about reviewing, but after a talk with his captain, accepts his fate. Pinned on the crease, expecting the short ball, Rabada trumps him with the fuller one, coming in at him, beats the inside edge as Bracewell offers a timid push. Beaten for sheer pace.. 144/7
58.3 to KS Williamson, was there a nick? They're waiting. Everyone looks a little confused. Eventually umpire Reiffel goes over to talk to Williamson, who begins walking. It was short ball, wandering away outside off, Wiliamson goes for a pull, looking to drag it, ends up feathering it through to the keeper. 214/10
703615.14276000
51.5 to TG Southee, edged and de Kock takes a superb catch! Southee tries to cut from off stump, backing away to make room, but Piedt beats him with a little bounce and the wicketkeeper was on hand to take the deflection. Stayed low, had his hands ready, judged it so well.. 169/8

4.2 to HM Amla, all of these somehow kept finding the gaps in the first innings. Not today. outside edge, straight to slip. Beautiful line bowling from Southee. Targets the off-stump corridor. Has Amla defending mostly from the crease. The ball kisses the edge and settles in Guptill's hands at second slip. 32/2
4.5 to JP Duminy, another one in the over! Duminy was playing around his front pad and the inswing has done the batsman in. Superb work from the New Zealand new-ball bowlers. They are getting it to move through the air and off the seam. Here Southee bowls full, makes it veer into Duminy's pads late, and with vengeance. Pins him at the crease, HawkEye says that would crash into leg stump as umpire Reiffel thought.. 32/3
43.3 to VD Philander, left the ball onto his stumps! The New Zealanders throw a look towards the South African dressing room for signs of a declaration. Nothing. Have to be content in taking down Philander. It pitched on a good length in the vicinity of the stumps. Philander misjudged the line, misjudged the length, misjudged everything about that ball and pays for it. It was that little cutter that Southee bowls, which always cuts back in at the stumps. 129/7
1434423.14647000
3.2 to SC Cook, finally a wicket for Boult! Cook is checking with his partner, doesn't seem entirely convinced to go for a review and he doesn't. Top delivery, he pitches it on off stump, at a good length, Cook goes so far back that he was only an inch or so from trodding onto his stumps. So it doesn't matter that he was hit on the top of his back pad. There was very little distance left to travel and umpire Gould says that would hit off stump. 31/1
11.2 to F du Plessis, whoo, yelps Boult. Just rewards for excellent fast bowling. Faf hung his bat out on off stump, the shortish ball holds its line instead of veering away with the angle, kisses the edge and lands in slip's hands. Good catch by Taylor. 47/4
721912.71323000
19.1 to Q de Kock, that's the end of de Kock's party. Doug Bracewell with a rip roaring bouncer that comes back in from around the stumps, de Kock initially wants to sway inside the line to upper cut but realised he was completely cramped for room. Before he could realise, the ball had thudded into his gloves and lobbed to gully where Williamson accepted a dolly. The umpires checked for a no-ball, but Bracwell was fine there.. 82/5
1011811.80512011
28.5 to S van Zyl, the fuller one gets the prize. Lovely line from Wagner, but the length was key. With the batsman expecting bouncers, he is stuck on leg stump, unable to move. Hands reach for the ball outside off, healthy edge taken by the keeper. 98/6

0.1 to TWM Latham, leaves the ball onto his stumps! Poor Latham, he had his bat hoisted up fairly high, fully intending to leave. But the extra bounce made sure the back of a length ball meant for the wicketkeeper leaps up to hit the bat and ricochet onto the stumps. Second unlucky dismissal of the Test for Latham. Steyn simply explodes! And his team-mates huddle around him to contain his fire.. 0/1
0.6 to MJ Guptill, first-ball duck for Guptill too! His woes against the moving ball continue. How can he sit in a press conference and say he is nowhere near his best? Steyn, you're pulling all our legs! This is a peach, pitching back of a length, close enough to off stump, then lurching away to take the outside edge through to Amla at first slip. Too good.. 3/2
2.5 to LRPL Taylor, lbw to a grubber. Steyn's almost embarrassed to get a wicket like that. Taylor was checking with Williamson, wondering if he could get away on review. But this was dead. Taylor walks off with a smile on his face. He had no chance of putting bat to that. Back of a length ball, Taylor responded by going deep in his crease as he was supposed to and yet the bounce was non-existent. Zooted through to hit the batsman at his ankle, in front of off stump. Umpire Gould says off you go. 5/3
42.6 to MJ Santner, got him! he's broken the middle stump! Santner was slow in bringing his bat down. He probably wasn't sure which way it would go. Or that it would move in so far. Tries to defend, but the ball finds the gap between bat and pad - they tend to exist when facing a fast bowler like Steyn because the bat goes searching without the front foot in tow. 118/6
58.2 to HM Nicholls, swings it to the long leg boundary and is caught! Steyn has his 26th five-for and South Africa have victory! Fairly innocuous short ball on the hips, Nicholls got inside it and helped it away, but it's a top edge and it picks out the man in the deep, Rabada. 195/10
1443422.42706010
3.1 to KS Williamson, great catch from de Kock! Williamson's gone. New Zealand at 7 for 4, South Africa might finish the game in this session! Back of a length from Philander, Williamson moved across and pushed outside the off stump. The ball seamed away, past the middle, nicks the edge and then de kock dives full length to his right, takes it low, takes it so ruddy well. Makes sure the ball didn't pop out when the elbow hit the ground either. 7/4
50.5 to DAJ Bracewell, huge appeal, and given lbw by umpire Gould! The batsman come together and Bracewell goes up to check with the third umpire. Length ball, holds its line on middle, hits around the knee-roll, maybe even below. No bat. Could be umpire's call on clipping leg. Yes it is. Good decision.. 164/7
1325424.155910010
55.3 to TG Southee, through him and off stump takes a clattering! Goes for the yorker, gets it under the bat and too quick for Southee to do much about it. Best ball for a tailender still.. 187/8
57.6 to N Wagner, nails him! Full, straight, fierce and he celebrates by shrugging one shoulder, and chewing his gum. Looking like your usual teenager with tons of attitude. Wagner falls over while flicking, beaten by pace, and has to go back. South Africa one wicket away now. 195/9
31501.66161000
1235214.33486200
29.4 to BJ Watling, huge appeal for lbw, given by Reiffel, but BJ Watling wants a reivew. Good turn again from Piedt. Had the batsman in front of the off stump, flicking, ball beats bat, hits the top half of the pad, but Watling's a short man. Could be umpire's call, this. Yes it is. Impact on the pad was umpire's call, half of the ball hitting in line with the stumps, tracker shows it hitting a good chunk of middle and leg. Watling's gone. 75/5
