1.3 to Ahmed Shehzad, middle stump takes a hit! Prasad does it for Angelo. He continues to get some inward movement and this time draws the batsman into making a mistake. This was pushed outside off, fuller, Shehzad pushed forward but failed to take the inward movement into account. That takes the inside edge and crashes into the middle. Shehzad could have left it on the line. 4/1
5.4 to Khurram Manzoor, another shout for lbw and I don't think he has an escape from this one! This was full outside off, jags back in, Khurram falls over to the off side like he has been throughout his short stay, pushes outside the line of the ball and gets hit right in front of off. He thinks about challenging the decision but decides against it. Did it hit high? Maybe.. But that looked out straightaway.. replays say that would have hit the middle of the off stump. 19/2

21.6 to Azhar Ali, beautifully bowled! That has clipped the off stump and it takes a while before anyone realises it... In fact the keeper and the bowler go on for an appeal for caught behind, but Azhar starts walking once he sees the off bail is off. That one was bowled with a round-arm action, it drifted in, lured Azhar into his front-foot lunge, dipped and spun past the outside edge to kiss the off stump.. A Herath special that one... 56/3
57.4 to Misbah-ul-Haq, what a ripper! This is tossed up, pitched on the middle and Misbah was looking to drive it to off, but it turns sharply to catch the outside edge en route to the wicket keeper. Just when Abhishek Purohit was saying how good Misbah is as a player of spin, one of the best in the world along with Sanga (I hope he mentions it in his report).. He falls to a spinner... 156/4
101.1 to Asad Shafiq, there he goes, the Rangana! Breaks the partnership with an arm ball! It was tossed up and it kept coming in with the arm, Shafiq was playing for the spin and was pushing forward in defence but played outside the line. No doubt about that, it was hitting the stumps. The batsman asks for a review but he is not going to hear any good news. The replays confirm the umpire's decision.. 293/5
31.5113754.301119200
118.3 to Younis Khan, there's the wicket! Younis Khan marathon is over at 177, he skipped down the crease but wasn't quite near the pitch, stretches forward to reach for the ball, ends up chipping a tame shot towards midwicket, Vithanage dives forward there and collects a low chance, it's been a rough Test for Perera so far but he has now got the big one. 359/6
126.6 to Sarfaraz Ahmed, that has been smashed to the silly mid-on fielder placed for that shot exactly! The batsman charged down the pitch but didn't get any elevation, hitting it straight and hard to Angelo who takes a good sharp catch. 388/7
134.4 to Saeed Ajmal, another wicket for Dilruwan! Ajmal tucks this sharply turning delivery into the hands of Mahela at leg slip. HIs 201st catch but that dismissal would excite Ajmal too. There was some bounce on that delivery too. 424/8
140.2 to Abdur Rehman, the batsman's fun and games are finally over as he smacks this flighted delivery straight to long off where Sanga takes a well judged catch at the edge of the boundary. Rehman was a bit disappointed he didn't get it over the line. It did look like he had made a good connection. 451/9
140.5 to Junaid Khan, what a catch! That is a stunner! You have to take a look at this when you get a chance.. He makes it look so easy. It was spinning down the leg side and Junaid looks to sweep it, but it catches the glove (probably) and Mahela takes it with one hand, moving to his right, so nonchalantly. That's what makes him such a cool catcher there.. 451/10

4.4 to WU Tharanga, this is close! the umpire raises his finger as soon as the bowler turns back to ask the question. This one jagged back in and like in the first over, Tharanga is falling over to the off side.. But the batsman asks for a review of the decision. It has hit him above the knee roll, that must have forced him to call for the review, but the predictor is showing that the ball is taking the leg bail off.. It stays umpire's call and Tharanga has to go. Just like Khurram in the first innings, he looked like a walking lbw candidate despite edging a fair few. 24/1
80.4 to DPMD Jayawardene, this is out! This is definitely out! Junaid gets one to curl into Mahela, it pitched on middle and swings in to hit him right in front, but the umpire gives it not out. What!! That looked out straightaway. Junaid goes for the review. It's hitting the off bail! That is out. I wonder what the umpire, Ian Gould, was thinking when he saw it in real time. That was as plumb as it gets. No century for Mahela then. 257/3
27410413.8511612114
46.6 to JK Silva, Superb catch by the keeper! Silva pushes at a length delivery and slightly pushes inside the line, he gets a thick outside edge that is dying towards the right of the keeper. Sarfraz dives to his right and plucks it with one hand.. 144/2
59.1816652.8025919100
137.3 to AD Mathews, he is out again on 91! He pushes firmly at a doosra and gets a thick outside edge to first slip. Younis dives low to his right and snaffles that one. Third time since christmas, he has been out on 91, fifth time in the nineties overall. Superb innings comes to an end. Ajmal is relieved as he finally gets a wicket. 438/4
141.6 to KDK Vithanage, and game over! in and out, in and out, finally he edges the offspinning delivery to Shafiq at second slip. That was a sharp chance too, the fielder staying low and pulling it off without any fuss. The batsmen looked around to see if it was taken cleanly, but walks back once Sanga indicates to him it was fine. It was coming. 450/5
143.5 to N Dickwella, another one at second slip! Dickwella pushes at this loopy delivery, but that kicks and bounces to take the outside edge. This is much simpler than the previous catch. 458/6
149.5 to MDK Perera, another one for Ajmal as the batsman slog sweeps a tossed up delivery straight into the hands of deep backward square leg. There was a bit of top edge on that one and Junaid had enough time to move to his right to take a simple chance. 475/7
163.1 to KTGD Prasad, looks to smash it into the Indian ocean but makes no connection, The keeper takes the bails off and asks the question! Prasad has dragged his foot out and although he turns back, he is just a touch late.. And that means Ajmal has five wickets. It's his most expensive five-wicket haul ever though. 533/9
39212313.1516212100
158.1 to KC Sangakkara, an end to a marathon effort! Sanga charges down the pitch but is not to the pitch of the delivery, misses it, but he is a long way down. Sarfraz fumbles the take but has enough time to take the bails off. Sanga walks back to a standing ovation from anyone. Absolute gem of an innings.. 511/8

3.3 to Khurram Manzoor, he has the first strike! That forward lunge takes him out as he chases this wider delivery! It just turned away at the last moment to catch the edge and into the gloves of the keeper. Khurram is disappointed. He knew he didn't need to play at that ball, but he was following his routine. Huge jubilation in the Sri Lankan camp. 3/1
36.3 to Younis Khan, he is through YK's defence! That is a huge huge wicket! Younis chooses to push forward instead of amble down the pitch, plays for the spin leaving a tiny gap between his bad and the pad.. and that's exactly what Herath was aiming for. It's the arm-ball that keeps coming in with the angle, rams the middle stump. That is some skill from Herath.. Subtle, yet deadly.. 55/4
57.5 to Azhar Ali, here comes the Rangaiyaa special! After not getting much purchase from the pitch, Rangana gets one to spit away and that takes the outside edge through to the keeper. Azhar must be feeling a bit lost here - twice he has been stung by special deliveries in the match. Not much he could have done about it. 111/5
63.5 to Asad Shafiq, that looks a good shout! Shafiq plays outside the line of an arm-ball, gets hit right in front. The only issue is that it could be going over. Sri Lanka ask for a review straightaway. And that is hitting leg.. Sri Lanka are doing excellent with reviews and they get another one. Herath gets another one.. The ship is sinking.. Shafiq goes. 133/7
78.2 to Mohammad Talha, they have all gone up for a caught behind! that was a ripper from the Rangana!!! It came in with the arm, then spat away, the batsman was looking to defend but did it touch anything. Sri Lanka would have gone for it and the umpire agrees. Talha reviews, he doesn't have an option. That looks like he is a gonner. The Rangana does it again. Superb delivery. He bowls five easy ones and then bowls the sucker ball.. No way out, even if you are top-order batsman.. Too good for Talha. 178/9
80.2 to Junaid Khan, that's over! The umpire raises the finger! It's the arm ball and the batsman plays inside the line.. that has hit him right in front of the middle stump. Junaid asks for a review but there is not much in that except some hope. No edge. It's hitting leg stump. It's game over.. 180/10
1454413.14645000
71.5 to Abdur Rehman, that's gone! That's a beautiful delivery, swings a touch away and kisses the outside edge through to the keeper. Eranga is ecstatic, this is his 50th test wicket! What a time to strike! This partnership had almost survived for 50 balls but Pakistan lose their 8th at the stroke of tea. 153/8
2866822.421244100
26.5 to Ahmed Shehzad, and here comes the wicket! He remains stuck on the back foot, but the turn does him. That pitched on the middle stump line, and hits him below the knee roll right in front of leg stump. Shehzad had shuffled way across to the off side and was playing outside the line. The rebound was caught by the short leg fielder and there was confusion if it was bat-pad or lbw, but replays show that it was lbw..Shehzad knows there is no point in reviewing that one - he is convinced by Azhar that it's a lost cause. But you know what, had he reviewed it, he could have been saved by the tracker, it was turning down the leg side.. 39/3
58.1 to Misbah-ul-Haq, loud appeal for lbw as the batsman gets stuck in the crease and gets hit on the pads. Umpire says No. Sri Lanka don't like it, they ask for a review! That has hit Misbah on the back leg. He was going back to play it across the line. This is the end. That is hitting leg stump, it pitched on leg.. He just played across the line. 111/6
831011.25400000
11.2 to Saeed Ajmal, the stay is over, thanks for coming! Nightwatchman had done his job though. The short one was followed by a fuller length delivery on off, Ajmal was rooted to the crease and tries to drive it, gets a solid outside edge through to keeper. 11/2

7.2 to WU Tharanga, he takes the off stump out! Tharanga was pushing away from the body to steer it to the off side, but this was always coming in from wide of the crease. The batsman misses and loses his off stump. 28/1
11.5 to DPMD Jayawardene, he has cleaned Mahela up! the batsman gives himself a lot of room but gets a yorker on the middle stump that he misses.. the crowd goes silent for a second before giving their hero a rousing ovation... 59/2
