Sandy Singleton was an Oxford Blue for four years (1934 to 1937) and captained the side in his final year when he was also selected to tour Canada with MCC. He played 58 times for Worcestershire before the War, returning to lead the county in 1946 when he enjoyed his best season, scoring 1773 runs at 34.09 including a career-best 164 against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.
