Bengal medium-pacer Ashok Dinda was fined Rs 10,000 by the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) for his spat with team-mate Ranadeb Bose during the Ranji one-dayers in Agartala four months ago.
The decision to penalise Dinda was taken at a meeting of the CAB's cricket sub-committee on Monday. The committee also reprimanded Bose for speaking to the media about the incident. Both players were present at the meeting, where Dinda apologised to the committee as well as Bose.
The pair shared the new ball during the tournament, taking 10 wickets apiece to guide Bengal to the finals where their side lost to Tamil Nadu by 66 runs.
