MCA XI 309 for 8 (Bawne 67, Shrikhande 52) v Bangladesh A
Honours were shared on the opening day of game between Maharashtra Cricket Academy XI (MCA) and Bangladesh A in Pune. The MCA would be disappointed for failing to take full advantage of a strong start. Openers Ameya Shrikhande (52) and Rohan Bhosale (32) added 79. MCA had reached a comfortable position at 116 for 1 but the Bangladesh bowlers hit back, restricting them to 163 for 5.
Then Ankit Bawne (67) and Azhar Ansari (48) put together a stand of 93 for the sixth wicket to lead the MCA recovery, and the team reached 309 for 8 at stumps. For Bangladesh, Faisal Hossain, Dolar Mahmud and Suhrawardi Shuvo bagged two wickets each.
