Nuwan Zoysa, the former Sri Lanka fast bowler, has joined the Goa Ranji team for a short stint as a coaching consultant. Zoysa, who played 30 Tests and 95 ODIs for Sri Lanka, is currently in Panaji, meeting the Goa squad as they prepare for the Ranji season which starts November 2. He will work with the squad for 10 days this season.
Goa and Zoysa were initially looking for a longer-term agreement, but with Zoysa already tied up with his assignments as coach of Sri Lanka's domestic side Nondescripts Cricket Club and assistant coach of Sri Lanka Premier League franchise Nagenahira Nagas, he wasn't free for a longer stint.
