Baroda batsman Ambati Rayudu will miss the West Zone league of the domestic Twenty20 tournament, having suffered an ankle sprain during Thursday's Deodhar Trophy final. Rayudu's place in Baroda's squad has been taken by Rakesh Solanki.

Rayudu has been ruled out for two weeks, and is hoping to be fit in time for the Mumbai Indians' opening IPL game on April 16. Baroda chief selector Nayan Mongia confirmed Rayudu has a Grade II ankle strain and will not join the team in Mumbai for the West Zone T20 league.

On Thursday, Rayudu hit an unbeaten 46 to help West Zone win the Deodhar Trophy.

Despite missing Rayudu, Baroda have a strong line-up, including the likes of Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan and Munaf Patel
