Indian Premier League, 11th match: Deccan Chargers v Royal Challengers Bangalore at Hyderabad (Deccan), Apr 14, 2011
Deccan Chargers won by 33 runs
14 April 2011 - night match (20-over match)

Sunny Sohal will face first. Zaheer Khan to bowl.

We're all set to go. Another South African. Rudi Koertzen is one of the umpires.

19:50 Kumar Sangakkara says it's good to be playing at home and that the pitch looks like a typical Hyderabd wicket. He was looking to bowl first as well. Daniel Vettori expects a lot of runs in it.

Just seen that the match referee is a South African, it's Devdas Govindjee, who is very popular in the country and his home city in PE.

Shreesha makes a strong case for a close game here, let's hope it happens. "RCB and DC have always gone hand in hand in IPL - 1st season, they were 7th and 8th, 2nd season - winners and runners-up, and 3rd - 3rd and 4th respectively. Expecting a close match."

19:45 We've got a Deccan fan, Ratnadeep who hopes I will help change his team's fortunes. "In The Battle Of Rookies Firdose was the Lucky Charm for the home Side...!! When PUNE Won a Thriller....!! Can Firdose do it again, help DC to come out of their Jinx in the battle of 09' Finalists...!! :)" Can't promise any of that.

Meanwhile, Ganz, who is an RCB fan wants to see Pujara bat. "Hope Pujara is promoted up today. He is getting wasted at #6 for his style of batting." He certainly impressed in South Africa recently.

19:40 For all those interested, today is JP Duminy's 27th birthday. He said on his Twitter account earlier that he would like to celebrate with a win. Other new from the Deccan camp is that Australia's Cameron White has joined up with the squad. He arrived from Dhaka three hours ago and, understandably, will be watching from the bench today.

19:30 Bangalore win the toss and will bowl

Dirk Nannes is not playing after he was injured during the game against Mumbai. South African all-rounder Johan van der Wath replaces him. Daniel Vettori confirmed that Nannes will be out for at least two games. Mithun and Azad Pathan also out of the starting XI and have been replaced by S Aravind and Ryan Ninan.

Two changes for Deccan: Sunny Sohel replaces Ishant Jaggi and Manpreet Gony comes in for Pragyan Ojha.

19:25 Good evening and welcome to ESPNCricinfo's coverage of the 11th match in this season's IPL. It's a repeat of the 2009 final that was contested between the Deccan Chargers and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. I'm Firdose Moonda and I'll be with you through today's game.

The Chargers won the tournament that day, but they find themselves in a very different position now, having lost both their games. Sid Talya has put together a preview of today's match, which you can read here .

Good total from the Chargers on their homeground. There's been a lot of talk about whether they can break their duck in Hyderabad and they look as though they've got the runs to challenge for that. I'll be back with some feedback in a bit.

Kunal makes a good observation about local players: I think its fair to say that which each passing IPL, the local indians have performed more consistently; yesterday it was Valthaty and today its Chipli..would love to see some bowlers contribute as well
