Indian Premier League, 21st match: Mumbai Indians v Pune Warriors at Mumbai, Apr 20, 2011
Mumbai Indians won by 7 wickets (with 0 balls remaining)
20 April 2011 - day/night match (20-over match)

Ahmed to Ryder, OUT, the Orange Cap gets under it and Ryder rides back to the dug-out. Nechim sends down a deceptively quick short ball, Ryder looks to bully him by getting back and playing a short-arm pull, but that was onto him in a jiffy. Ryder went through with the shot and got a bit of top-edge. Tendulkar at midwicket back-pedals, puts his arms up and holds it over the head.

JD Ryder c Tendulkar b Ahmed 12 (15b 2x4 0x6) SR: 80.00

Pune Warriors 16/1   TD Paine 2* (6b)   AN Ahmed 0.3-0-0-1

Ahmed to Manhas, OUT, Nechim, got 'im. Again. Manhas doesn't move the feet and has a wild flail outside off as Nechim keeps it sharp and quick just outside off. This man has gone some pace, and Manhas found out as he was late into the shot. Outside edge carries easily to Rayudu.

M Manhas c †Rayudu b Ahmed 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Pune Warriors 17/2   TD Paine 2* (7b)   AN Ahmed 0.5-0-0-2

Patel to Paine, OUT, Pune are in trouble here. Munaf's removed Paine and celebrated with with typical minimalism. Effort ball, Munaf got that across faster than normal and it was a touch short too. Paine looked to pull and missed, the ball clipped top of off. Munaf is one of those seamers with no follow through. He stops, puts his hand up, looks down the track seriously and walks slowly down the track.

TD Paine b Patel 2 (9b 0x4 0x6) SR: 22.22

Pune Warriors 17/3   RV Uthappa 0* (1b)   MM Patel 0.2-0-0-1

Patel to Yuvraj Singh, OUT, Yuvraj is gone. Pune have lost four wickets in eight balls. I need time to breathe. Munaf keeps it on that nagging length outside off, Yuvraj's feet don't move very decisively early on and he pokes it through to Rayudu, as it angles past. Munaf lets out a bit of a roar this time as he puts the hand up and walks down the track.

Yuvraj Singh c †Rayudu b Patel 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Pune Warriors 17/4   RV Uthappa 0* (1b)   MM Patel 0.4-0-0-2

Murtaza to Mishra, OUT, well, he just can't hold himself back, this Mohnish Mishra. He wasn't satisfied with four, he wanted a six, and was not mindful of the state of the game. Looks to get the front foot across, go down on a knee, and heave Murtaza against the spin over long on. Can't get enough on it, and Rohit Sharma on the boundary takes it.

MD Mishra c Sharma b Murtaza 12 (10b 2x4 0x6) SR: 120.00

Pune Warriors 52/5   RV Uthappa 17* (15b 2x4 1x6)   AG Murtaza 2.3-0-13-1

Malinga to Kartik, OUT, Kartik's played the poorest shot of the day. He's chipped a full ball from Malinga straight to Symonds, a few metres inside the circle at mid-on. It was full, and might have come off slower than he thought. Kartik stays back and looks to tap it over the infield. Mistake. Pune are in a soup. Malinga-tawny soup.

M Kartik c Symonds b Malinga 11 (13b 1x4 0x6) SR: 84.61

Pune Warriors 87/6   RV Uthappa 38* (32b 5x4 1x6)   SL Malinga 3-0-21-1

Murtaza to Uthappa, OUT, Pollard does a Jonty Rhodes. And then does a Flintoff. Uthappa's got to go, and he's perished to a fantastic catch. Murtaza sees him coming out, drops it just back of a length and forces Uthappa to heave down the ground despite not getting to the pitch. Uthappa could not time it well, and it seemed like he would hence be safe, since this was set to land some ten metres in front of long on. Try telling Pollard that. He runs forward and to his left, swoops in and plucks it when he is horizontal, inches off the ground. And then has the presence of mind to ensure he gets the hand under the ball when he lands. And then he gets up on his knees, puts his arms wide and stands like Flintoff as his team-mates charge in. Spectacular.

RV Uthappa c Pollard b Murtaza 45 (37b 6x4 1x6) SR: 121.62

Pune Warriors 98/7   WD Parnell 4* (3b)   AG Murtaza 3.2-0-16-2

Franklin to Parnell, OUT, well, Franklin pulls one back with a little inducker that lands back of a length, comes in a touch and misses Parnell's almighty heave to the leg side.

WD Parnell b Franklin 9 (8b 1x4 0x6) SR: 112.50

Pune Warriors 111/8   R Sharma 8* (5b 1x6)   JEC Franklin 3-0-32-1

Malinga to Wagh, OUT, 131 kph. Not a slower ball normally. But when Malinga bowls it, it sure is a slower ball. Full and on the pads, Wagh was into the chip very early and tamely scooped it to midwicket. Easy as they come.

SB Wagh c Symonds b Malinga 2 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

Pune Warriors 118/9   R Sharma 13* (7b 1x4 1x6)   SL Malinga 3.4-0-28-2

Patel to Sharma, OUT, Pune are bowled out with many overs to spare. Munaf again keeps it outside off, Rahul carves it in the air, and Murtaza at deep point runs in to pouch it. So far, a very one-sided derby game this.

R Sharma c Murtaza b Patel 13 (9b 1x4 1x6) SR: 144.44

Pune Warriors 118/10   AC Thomas 0* (2b)   MM Patel 2.2-0-8-3
