Indian Premier League - 30th match

Delhi Daredevils v Royal Challengers Bangalore

Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 3 wickets (with 3 balls remaining)

1957 Game time folks. Nearly. "I was eagerly waiting to start reading and submitting predictions on Ajit Agarkar's figures today. So sad he is not playing! I was going to predict 4-4-0-4," says Chirag. Predicting Umesh Yadav's figures isn't the same, is it? We could predict who will win the battle of the bludgeoners - Sehwag v Warner.

Warner charged out to the middle, ready to go. Sehwag strolled out at a leisurely pace, miles behind his partner. Zaheer Khan has the new ball.

1945 "Will somebody in the RCB camp please realize that Pujara's rightful batting position is no.3 or 4?" asks Shreesha.

"@Shreesha. Between Kohli and De Villiers, who would you replace with Pujara?" Rahul wants to know.

"You hail Varun Aaron in the previous match and drop him in the next. That too when the previous one was a big win. Quite Ineffable!" says Shashank.

"What! No Agarkar? Was waiting to see him up against Gayle, Dilshan and AB! Poor team selection!" laments Sri, who's at work.

"Wonder if somebody noticed the error George Binoy had made in mentioning the number of matches DD and RCB have played, he has corrected it now," says Sameer. Yes, it was noticed!

1930 Sehwag expects the pitch to play better than it did in the previous game, against Punjab, and says the ball will come on to the bat. There's one rather short boundary at the Kotla, Vettori compares it to some of the short boundaries in New Zealand.

Vettori has won the toss, and Bangalore will bowl. He says he doesn't know what a good score is because of the size of the ground. Bangalore have left out Asad Pathan and brought in Abhimanyu Mithun.

Sehwag said he didn't know whether to bat or bowl first either. Delhi have dropped Finch, Agarkar and Varun Aaron, and replaced them with Matthew Wade, Ashok Dinda and Umesh Yadav.

1920 Good evening and welcome to ESPNcricinfo's ball-by-ball coverage of the 30th IPL match, between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Kotla. The pitch for the previous game had plenty of pace and bounce, the ball came on to the bat and flew off Sehwag and Warner's clubs equally quickly.

A sub-plot to this game is the fact that Bangalore have three overseas ex-Delhi players in the squad - AB de Villiers, Daniel Vettori and Tillakartane Dilshan. Bangalore are seventh in the league at the moment, while Delhi are ninth. Both teams are level on wins but Delhi have played five games to Bangalore's six. Bangalore have an extra point from the washed-out game against Rajasthan.

For more on this game, as we wait for the toss, read Dustin Silgardo's preview.

AB de Villiers says it's never nice to play against your old team, but he's made new friends now and will do his best for his new team. Sounds very touching.

Aravind to Nagar, no run, the slower ball outside off, Nagar swings across the line but misses

"I think its somewhat unfair to Pathan. He didn't force anyone to pay him 1.9M. It was smart owners of Delhi who let likes of Gambhir, Dilshan and AB leave, so they can pay Pathan 1.9 M," says Nick.

Aravind to Nagar, 1 leg bye, Nagar walks down the pitch and tries to play on the leg, he misses and gets hit on the pad for a leg bye towards the off, Sehwag said 160-170 would be competitive, he's got 160.

"The pitch is a tad slower," says Hopes. "It's skidding on. 180-190 is what we were aiming for but we kept losing wickets."

I'll be back after stretching my legs.
