Indian Premier League - 33rd match

Delhi Daredevils v Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders won by 17 runs

I am Nitin Sundar, taking you through the action today. Sid Ravindran is on the bulletin. The umpires are about to head out. Now they do.. The players are out there. Goswami will open with Kallis. Irfan has the new ball. Continues to search for inswing. India watches again, with bated breath. Here we go...

Gocho: "Its truly surprising that a player of Eoin Morgan's calibre hasnt scored one knock worth mentioning in the IPL. Maybe he is the Atapattu of t20? or maybe these Englishmen (Irishmen) miss the "tea break" (Guiness time)."

Vikas: "Napoleon Einstein.. are you kidding me.. who am I gonna see next.. Archimedes Darwin?"

Srikanth: "Ryan Ten Doeschate, the name is a little too fancy for a cricketer, but I hope we'll see a lot of him in the coming years and get used to it. Statistically, he could be the best all rounder in the world." You think that's a fancy name? Check this one out.

Himanshu: "During live commentary, i see different people's comments posted. How can i join that? i mean how can i also comment?" There, you've done it.

There's a bit of dew on the Kotla, and the supersopper is doing it's business. Meanwhile, a rainy start to the 3rd Pak-WI ODI.

Manoj Ravi sends in the best comment of the day, so far. "This might be the first time that Gauti and Viru are playing against each other since they were kids playing in gully cricket and the kids said: "No Gauti and Viru in same team! It's unfair!" Hahaha!

Sudhir: "Is there a method in selecting agarkar or dinda? Or is it just tossing of the coin?" The same method applies to Umesh Yadav v Varun Aaron as well ...

Gareth: "Pathan vs Pathan, Lee/Balaji vs Warner/Viru... i'm in heaven! That being said, given the fact the pitch will favour seamers, there's definitely a case to be had for bringing Tendo in for Shakib." Indeed, and Tendo is in for the Bangladesh captain.

Kotla: "Did anyone fall that 'FREE' stuff??" Well, negative given that the follower count has slowed down and is now limping past the 100000 line.. We should get there in the next couple of hours.

Vijay starts off the Agarkar predictions for the day. "Ajit agarkar prediction: 4-0-52-0 and a first ball duck with the bat... Surely thats an all round performance to help the opposition team win. I think Sehwag is vary arrogant to think he can beat KKR with 10 men!" Mean stuff!

Our twitter feed is on the brink of breaking the 100,000 followers mark. The 100,000th follower will get a free life-time's supply of ball-by-ball commentary. Hurry and follow!

"Delhi would be hoping that Morne does an Ishant today. And of course, they would have ordered some grass on the pitch," says Vrij. The track doesn't look as grassy as it did in that 200-200 game. That said, the ball came on to the bat beautifully that day. If this track suits Morne, it will suit Lee as well... double-edged sword for Delhi. Meanwhile, Brad Haddin and Shakib Al Hasan have been left out. Bisla is missing as well, and Goswami will keep wicket. RTD is in (and not Ryan Ninan as confused yours truly declared some time back). Will Gambhir open?

Toss then, with India's crack opening combo. Sehwag wins and Delhi will bowl first. "Our bowling did not work on a good surface in the last game, this time we hop to keep them under 160. If me and Warner click, we can chase any total. Agarkar and Travis Birt in. Wade and Dinda out."

Gambhir: "Looks a good wicket, we will look to bat 10 overs and then set a final target. Lee is back, Ryan ten Doeschate is back too. Shreevats Goswami comes into the side."

Pre-toss discussions. Gambhir: "Life moves on.... this is my team, this is my colour. We need to get the momentum back."

Sehwag: "The pitch will stay the same, some early help and then great to bat on. No point criticising the curator, we need to look at ourselves."

1920 IST Hello world! Gautam Gambhir returns home to play an away game. And he runs into Ashok Dinda, playing for what is technically Gambhir's home side. And Gambhir is the captain of the away side, which represents the city Dinda himself hails from. Think that is confusing? Ajit Agarkar, hailing from Mumbai, played for Kolkata last year, and for Delhi this time. And the Pathan brothers, find themselves once again on opposite IPL teams. It's east v north, and the toss is almost upon us. If you aren't as confused as I am, predict the line-ups by playing Team Selector. Meanwhile, I shall try out our new online social game Howzat.

0.1

Pathan to Kallis, 1 run, and he gets the first one to curve in from well outside off, and kick off from just back of a length at 126 kph. Kallis stands back and guides square

0.2

Pathan to Goswami, no run, lovely ball. Irfan special, circa 2003. Comes in with the angle, lands outside off and bends away magically. Better batsmen have fallen to it, but Goswami doesn't edge as he pokes.

0.3

Pathan to Goswami, 1 run, this time too straight, ends up on the hips and Goswami tucks it square for one

Nishant: "Napolean Einstein - Remember reading about it during one of the Under-19 World Cups. Saw his stats, 2 List A games in 2006-7 season 92 runs in 1 innings and a total of 2 matches in all. Anyone know what happened to him after that?" Well, he got busy with physics and world domination. He was picked in the CSK team a couple of years back ...

0.4

Pathan to Kallis, no run, Irfan's got that swing going in the first over, comes in drastically and Kallis adjusts to play it back down the track

0.5

Pathan to Kallis, 1 run, dropped by Warner, would you believe it! Irfan starts the swing too straight and this deviates onto Kallis' pads, but he is unable to keep the flick down. Warner at midwicket comes forward, lunges and tries to pouch but spills it.

0.6

Pathan to Goswami, 1 run, good first over from Irfan, will have to see if he can keep it going as the ball gets slightly older. Again that away movement from the left hander as Goswami carefully steers to third man

End of over 1 (4 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 4/0 (RR: 4.00)
SP Goswami    2* (3b)      IK Pathan    1-0-4-0
JH Kallis    2* (3b)

Two slips for Morne.

1.1

Morkel to Goswami, 1 wide, Morne begins with a big wide down the leg side

1.1

Morkel to Goswami, no run, angled across on a length from over the wicket, Goswami leans out to defend into the off side

1.2

Morkel to Goswami, no run, Goswami tries to do his Lara impersonation, swaggering away from the stumps and looking for a slashed cover drive off the back foot. Morne responds with his Garner impersonation. Morne wins. Swing and a miss.

1.3

Morkel to Goswami, no run, fuller on off, Goswami gets half forward and defends into the off side

1.4

Morkel to Goswami, FOUR, and now Goswami pulls out his Ganguly impersonation, moving the front foot away to the leg side to open up the off side and then carves Morne with his pace and bounce through third man.

1.5

Morkel to Goswami, no run, good shot, but well fielded at point. Morne gives width and length, Goswami reaches half across and throws his bat at a square drive. He finds point.

Round the wicket to end the over.

1.6

Morkel to Goswami, FOUR, top shot from Goswami, he stays put on leg stump and has enough room to free the arms through the off side. Morne keeps it wide enough outside off for the scythed cut over point. Goswami plays it well.

End of over 2 (9 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 13/0 (RR: 6.50)
SP Goswami    10* (9b 2x4)      M Morkel    1-0-9-0
JH Kallis    2* (3b)      IK Pathan    1-0-4-0

2.1

Pathan to Kallis, no run, Kallis tries to counter the swing by walking across the stumps and looking for the on side, but can't get it away.

2.2

Pathan to Kallis, no run, did he get an edge there? Kallis again moves the front foot well across and the ball bends in sharply, Kallis is cramped as he looks to drive and it goes off the pad. No inside edge, and through to the keeper.

2.3

Pathan to Kallis, 1 run, this time Kallis gets the single, flicking with the movement towards midwicket

2.4

Pathan to Goswami, no run, Goswami goes fishing. Only salmons of doubt for him. Irfan again gets it to curl away.

2.5

Pathan to Goswami, no run, now he backs away and looks to slash, but again the ball is in another zip code as Irfan continues to banana it away.

2.6

Pathan to Goswami, 1 run, finally Goswami gets behind the line, and defends from middle and off towards mid-on for a pinched single.

End of over 3 (2 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 15/0 (RR: 5.00)

3.1

Morkel to Goswami, no run, top ball from Morne, lands one on a length on off stump and watches the fun as it buzzes past the shoulder of Goswami's bat. Big lift.

3.2

Morkel to Goswami, FOUR, shot of the day from Goswami. 144 kph, back of a length and not there to be driven. Goswami gets the half step forward, meets the ball and thumps it on the rise over a quickly ducking Kallis' head, and it pistols away to long off.

3.3

Morkel to Goswami, 1 run, this one is a touch wider of the stumps, Goswami rides the bounce and plays it into the off side

3.4

Morkel to Kallis, FOUR, risky but Kallis pulls it off. He might have tried this against Morne in the South Africa nets. He jumps out and to the leg side, making room to loft inside out, and then forces it between the covers for four.

3.5

Morkel to Kallis, FOUR, 154.6 kph, short and just a touch wide outside off. Kallis trots out again and murders it over point. It was short and rising as he met it with a vicious cross-batted slam. Up and over, six runs on this mickey-mouse outfield. Top shot.

3.6

Morkel to Kallis, no run, Morne tightens the line and length, fuller and angling into Kallis who defends down the track.

End of over 4 (13 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 28/0 (RR: 7.00)
JH Kallis    11* (9b 2x4)      M Morkel    2-0-22-0
SP Goswami    16* (15b 3x4)      IK Pathan    2-0-6-0

4.1

Pathan to Goswami, 1 run, Run out appeal, and Goswami is struggling. He's just got in, though. Fuller ball and moving away from Goswami, who tips and runs. The fielder, Rao, prances in from cover, picks up and shoots down the stumps at the bowler's end. Just in.

4.2

Pathan to Kallis, no run, lift for Irfan, surprises Kallis as he hurries onto the back foot to defend to the off side.

4.3

Pathan to Kallis, OUT, Irfan's classical inducker has struck, but not the way you would expect it to. As always it lands on off and middle and curls in, searching for the bat-pad gap, but Kallis has bounded outside off stump already. He ends up well outside and looks to flick as the ball moves in sharply, and Kallis' glance can't make contact. Leg stump. Clatter.

JH Kallis b Pathan 11 (11b 2x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

Abhishek: "Looks like the Irfan's ghost has entered in Morkel today and vice-versa."

4.4

Pathan to Gambhir, no run, Gambhir skates out first ball and looks to crack him through the covers! Hits it hard, but finds Venu in the covers.

4.5

Pathan to Gambhir, 1 run, straighter from Irfan, Gambhir pushes it from the pads towards mid-on for his first run.

4.6

Pathan to Goswami, FOUR, vicious from Irfan, and Goswami can be proud that he even got bat on that. It landed on leg stump, moved away like a yo-yo and took the outside edge as it was headed to slip. The edge was thick enough to take it away from Sehwag at the lone slip. What a spell from Irfan!

Nishith: "Morne is playing sidekick to Pathan and Steyn was playing sidekick to Ishant the other day. Have i gone delusional?"

Umesh Yadav comes on. Over the wicket.

5.1

Yadav to Gambhir, no run, full at 138 kph outside off, Gambhir drives without really moving into it, and plays straight to cover.

5.2

Yadav to Gambhir, 1 run, back of a length and angling across, played backward of point for a single.

Sehwag is out of the field for a breather, even as the TV guys are chatting up with Aaron Finch. Who promptly asks Sehwag if he is likely to get a game any time soon. Sehwag, sheepish but serious, says yes, may be in the future!

5.3

Yadav to Goswami, no run, Goswami backs away and ends up too far from the ball. He finally reaches it and cuts without power to point

5.4

Yadav to Goswami, 1 run, on the pads, nudges it away square for a single.

5.5

Yadav to Gambhir, FOUR, stand and deliver. Gambhir gets a foot of room outside off, sets up a solid base on leg stump and smashed it through the covers with a hint of disdain.

5.6

Yadav to Gambhir, 2 runs, oho, Irfan's made his first mistake of the day. He's put down a tough chance from Gambhir. Short and pacy from Umesh, 146 kph and rising at some pace, and Gambhir top-edges the pull backward of square leg. Irfan runs back, looks to pouch as it comes down over his head, and drops. Never looked like taking it.

End of over 6 (8 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 42/1 (RR: 7.00)
G Gambhir    8* (6b 1x4)      UT Yadav    1-0-8-0

Drumroll. Agarkar comes on.

6.1

Agarkar to Goswami, OUT, Drumroll. Agarkar has struck first ball. And it might a poor decision. Unlucky for Goswami, who looks unhappy. Agarkar's knack for picking up wickets continues, even when the batsman is not actually out. No wait. The replay suggests he edged it. Full and wide outside off, Goswami looks to steer and it looked like he nicked it after all. Ojha completes the catch.

SP Goswami c †Ojha b Agarkar 22 (20b 4x4 0x6) SR: 110.00

6.2

Agarkar to Tiwary, 1 wide, more vintage Agarkar. Wide down the leg side

6.2

Agarkar to Tiwary, 1 run, Tiwary is away, drives in front of square and gets a single

6.3

Agarkar to Gambhir, no run, angled across Gauti, who opens the face and drives solidly into the mid-off area.

6.4

Agarkar to Gambhir, FOUR, the good old Gambhir walk in the park. He strolls out on leg stump line, converts a length ball into a half-volley and whips it over midwicket

6.5

Agarkar to Gambhir, 1 run, fuller and wide outside off, Gambhir plays into the covers for another single.

6.6

Agarkar to Tiwary, 1 run, on the pads to end the over, Tiwary nudges square for a single.

7.1

Yadav to Tiwary, FOUR, well, Irfan's bowling might be coming back, but his fielding is going the other way. Short and wide outside off, Tiwary cuts with some power straight to Irfan at deep backward point where he does the long barrier and lets it go through.

7.2

Yadav to Tiwary, no run, leans into a forward defensive.

7.3

Yadav to Tiwary, no run, short of a length outside off, he goes for a cut and misses.

7.4

Yadav to Tiwary, no run, now Tiwary motors down the track and looks for an ugly heave down the ground. The length's not there and he doesn't make contact.

7.5

Yadav to Tiwary, 1 run, another strange shot. Not too short and on off, Tiwary goes for a pull and toe-ends a single to the leg side.

7.6

Yadav to Gambhir, no run, good bouncer, Umesh has Gauti in strife with the short ball once again. Clocks at 134 kph but the length was immaculate. Gambhir ducks under it in a hurry.

8.3

Agarkar to Gambhir, 1 run, Gambhir hangs back and opens the face to steer a single backward of point.

8.4

Agarkar to Tiwary, no run, Agarkar is hitting his straps now. It's a day for seamers on a comeback trail. Another one darts away off the seam, and Tiwary pokes uncertainly

8.5

Agarkar to Tiwary, 1 run, gets this one shorter and it lifts onto Tiwary who is alert enough to dab it backward of square for one.

8.6

Agarkar to Gambhir, no run, that's as close to a wide as you will get without actually being called. Two feet outside off, Gambhir can't reach it from leg stump, though he swings hard. Not called.

Pras: "Creating a long barrier and letting the ball through, we used to call it the "Suez Canal" in gully cricket." Haha!

Zubair: "Ishant did a Steyn yesterday. Irfan and Agarkar have outclassed Morne today. What next ? Balaji outscoring Lee. Any takers?"

Shabbir: "Sehwag should have completed four overs from Irfan when he was bowling well. Now in the second spell Irfan would leak lots of runs and that will spoil his bowling figures."

9.5

Hopes to Tiwary, 1 run, taps off the back foot to a length ball on off, and gets a single towards wide mid on

9.6

Hopes to Gambhir, 2 runs, Gambhir moves away, Hopes follows him and keeps it just outside leg, but Gambhir still manages to get the cover drive away for a single.

10.1

Agarkar to Tiwary, SIX, oh boy, Tiwary gets a piece of patent Agarkar tripe and smashed it out of Delhi. Full toss at a nice height, on the pads and he clubs it after moving across, easily over deep square leg.

10.2

Agarkar to Tiwary, FOUR, Agarkar's bleeding now. Another leg-stump offering, Tiwary makes it worse by moving across and the whip-slaps him behind square leg for four more.

10.3

Agarkar to Tiwary, 3 runs, here comes the over-compensation, very short and well outside off. Tiwary opens the face and steers powerfully backward of point. Morne, from third man, does well to lope across and save the boundary.

10.4

Agarkar to Gambhir, no run, Gambhir looks to slam him through the off side, he comes out and looks to go big through the covers, but can't connect.

10.5

Agarkar to Gambhir, 1 run, whoa, Gambhir looks to play the lap shot, Agarkar responds with a slower offcutter at 113 kph on middle and off, Gambhir changes the shot and dabs to point.

10.6

Agarkar to Tiwary, 1 run, another slower ball, this time at 112 kph and Tiwary pulls it with the deviation to deep backward square leg. Poor, poor over.

11.5

Hopes to Gambhir, OUT, for the first time in it's history, the Kotla cheers Gambhir's exit. Hopes keeps it on a length around middle and leg at a friendly pace, Gambhir lines him up and looks to cart a six over deep midwicket, but ends up hitting it high rather than far. When it comes down, Venu at deep midwicket was under it.

Morkel to Tiwary, SIX, Tiwary has got stuck into a length ball from Morne Morkel here. He's hitting some brutal blows over the short leg side boundary. Morne' natural angle brings it in, and the leg side swipe is on, but Tiwary's timing there was immense.

12.2

Morkel to Tiwary, 1 run, wisely lands this outside off, Tiwary dabs a single to point.

Yusuf faces Morne. Can't forget their battle in the Ind-SA ODI series before the World Cup. Was great to watch.

14.2

Yadav to Tiwary, SIX, how did that go for six? He was late on the front-foot hoicked pull, Umesh got it to hurry on him, and Tiwary ended up getting it away off the top edge. And it easily cleared wide long-on. This is a tennis court.

14.3

Yadav to Tiwary, no run, aha, tight, he plays straight to Sehwag at midwicket, and Yusuf backs up too far down before returning. A direct hit might have got him out.

14.4

Yadav to Tiwary, 1 run, width outside off, Tiwary dabs backward of point for one.

14.5

Yadav to Pathan, OUT, Pathan c Pathan b Yadav. Umesh does well, again ensuring it's not full enough for the drive, and Yusuf goes for his patent muscled slam over long on. The ball is again onto him faster than he thought, and he ended up lofting it straight to Irfan at long on. Easy catch, but given whose it was, and that he's fielded badly today, Irfan would have felt the pressure. After all, big brother was watching.

Pathan to ten Doeschate, no run, RTD defends from the crease, not much movement for Irfan now.

15.4

Pathan to ten Doeschate, 1 run, just enough room outside off for RTD to slash away backward of point for a single

15.5

Pathan to Tiwary, 1 run, fuller ball on middle and off, driven down the ground for a single.

15.6

Pathan to ten Doeschate, no run, with the new ball, this would have been out. This time it lands on off and doesn't quite bend back enough. Rapped on the pads, appealed and turned down. End of a fine spell from Irfan...

Yavvan: "When you are kid and if your sibling was in the same class, you complained at home that your brother wasn't doing well at school. Will Irfan complain about Yousuf tonight?"

Statsguru time-out. Here's a stat for the break. Irfan's 4-0-16-1 is his second most economical T20 performance in 75 games, when he has bowled 4 overs. The last time he did it was in the 2007 WT20 final!

End of over 16 (4 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 109/5 (RR: 6.81)
RN ten Doeschate    2* (4b)      IK Pathan    4-0-16-1
MK Tiwary    46* (33b 2x4 3x6)      UT Yadav    3-0-21-2

16.1

Yadav to Tiwary, no run, Umesh hits the deck hard again, a touch wide of off stump and Manoj swishes and misses.

16.2

Yadav to Tiwary, 1 run, on the pads, full and worked away to midwicket for a single.

16.3

Yadav to ten Doeschate, 1 wide, wide, too far outside off and called.

16.3

Yadav to ten Doeschate, 1 run, short of a length outside off stump, RTD dabs it through point for a single.

16.4

Yadav to Tiwary, 2 runs, he's given him some width outside off, and Tiwary carves it away towards third man

16.5

Yadav to Tiwary, 2 runs, short and a touch wide outside off, Tiwary plays this smartly, he softly redirects it into the covers and hares back for the second. An interesting 50 this.

16.6

Yadav to Tiwary, 1 run, good ball to end a good spell, 145 kph and hurrying into the right hander, who dabs it into the off side.

End of over 17 (8 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 117/5 (RR: 6.88)
MK Tiwary    52* (38b 2x4 3x6)      UT Yadav    4-0-29-2
RN ten Doeschate    3* (5b)      IK Pathan    4-0-16-1

17.1

Hopes to Tiwary, 1 wide, Hopes slips an offcutter down the leg side. Wide called.

Wonder if Agarkar will bowl one of the remaining overs.

17.1

Hopes to Tiwary, 2 runs, offcutter ends up a yorker on the toes, and it is flicked backward of square for a couple. Tardy fielding makes it easy.

17.2

Hopes to Tiwary, 1 run, legcutter outside off, Hopes waits and dabs it backward of point for another single.

17.3

Hopes to ten Doeschate, 1 leg bye, fullish offcutter on middle and coming in, Tiwary plays all over it and it trickles into the off side.

17.4

Hopes to Tiwary, 1 run, full-pitched on the toes, worked with the angle through square leg for a single

17.5

Hopes to ten Doeschate, FOUR, This could be four, or run out. Rare scenes, RTD drags a short of length ball to deep square leg, where Nagar does well to dive and intercept, but he slides close to the boundary. He then picks up and hurls to the bowler's end as RTD looks to run a third. Hopes relays it to the keeper and RTD is miles short. But replays show Nagar did not stop the boundary cleanly.

17.6

Hopes to ten Doeschate, 1 run, works a single off the pads towards square leg. Kolkata need a big finish here.

End of over 18 (11 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 128/5 (RR: 7.11)
RN ten Doeschate    8* (8b 1x4)      JR Hopes    4-0-25-1
MK Tiwary    56* (41b 2x4 3x6)      UT Yadav    4-0-29-2

Morne comes on. He's been their most expensive bowler today. Whodathunk!

18.1

Morkel to ten Doeschate, 1 run, angling into the pads, RTD quietly works it square for one.

18.2

Morkel to Tiwary, no run, again Tiwary moves too far away, and ends up struggling to reach a ball landed well outside off.

18.3

Morkel to Tiwary, 1 run, over-pitched on off stump, Tiwary stays back and drills it towards wide long on for a single.

18.4

Morkel to ten Doeschate, SIX, oh boy, I don't think I've seen a ball ever go so high. RTD jumps half forward, swings the bat in a wild circle and jabs the length ball into orbit. The Kotla crowd crinks its collective neck looking into the skies before the satellite begins its descent and lands just a couple of metres over the straight boundary. That got a lot of height, and enough distrance.

18.5

Morkel to ten Doeschate, FOUR, top shot. Morne keeps this full on off stump, inches away from a yorker than ball, and RTD spanks it back down the ground. He stood back in the crease to work the lengths there, and reaped the reward.

18.6

Morkel to ten Doeschate, OUT, Irfan has held another catch! And this one was pretty good too. RTD looks to hoist Morne over the covers this time, and ends up hitting it high into the night. Irfan runs in from deep point and holds on as he tumbles forward.

RN ten Doeschate c Pathan b Morkel 19 (12b 2x4 1x6) SR: 158.33

End of over 19 (12 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 140/6 (RR: 7.36)
     M Morkel    4-0-42-1
MK Tiwary    57* (43b 2x4 3x6)      JR Hopes    4-0-25-1

Hide behind the couch. Agarkar to finish off.

19.1

Agarkar to Tiwary, 1 run, slower ball, comes on later than Tiwary expected and he guides the pull for a single.

Lee to face.

19.2

Agarkar to Lee, 1 run, Lee would have been out if Sehwag had hit the stumps. Lee squeezes the full ball back towards Agarkar, who can't collect and it goes to Sehwag at mid off. Lee screams past, and dives, but would have been short.

19.3

Agarkar to Tiwary, no run, haha! Lee runs nearly one and a half runs. And Tiwary goes nowhere. The ball goes nowhere either. Tiwary looks to pull, can't get bat on it, and it is stuck between the legs. Lee hares across, Tiwary sends him back. Agarkar coolly trots across and picks up the ball from where it is lodged. Everyone smiles.

19.4

Agarkar to Tiwary, 2 runs, gets enough on this, forcing a full ball from Agarkar into the midwicket region. This is a good over so far.

19.5

Agarkar to Tiwary, 1 run, OUT, aha, the running has been funny this over. Lee's gone this time, despite the dive, which was poorly timed and he ended up sprawled at full stretch outside the crease. Tiwary again gets it away to the midwicket region and seemed content for one. Lee wanted to give the strike back and again rain almost halfway back before turning. Good throw from Nagar, and Ojha does the rest.

B Lee run out 1 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

Balaji for the last ball ...

19.6

Agarkar to Balaji, 3 runs, has Bala finished with a four? No, it is stopped really well in the deep once again by Nagar. Length ball on the pads, Balaji splashes it away towards deep square leg and Nagar dives and saves. They run three. 20 overs done, not a single one of spin.

The chase is under 150. Delhi must back themselves here. Can Sehwag play a responsible hand.

Rohit: "Looks like its good time for discarded/out-of-form Indian bowlers. Yesterday it was RP and Ishant and today Pathan and Agarkar (much better then he is expected for) :)"

End of over 20 (8 runs) Kolkata Knight Riders 148/7
L Balaji    3* (1b)      AB Agarkar    4-0-34-1
MK Tiwary    61* (47b 2x4 3x6)      M Morkel    4-0-42-1
