Indian Premier League - 41st match

Delhi Daredevils v Kochi Tuskers Kerala

Kochi Tuskers Kerala won by 7 wickets (with 30 balls remaining)

0.2

Singh to Sehwag, FOUR, Ah well ... Sehwag whip-lashes his first delivery - a length delivery outside off - up and over point! RP sticks his tongue out.

Delhi Daredevils 5/0   V Sehwag 4* (1b 1x4)   RP Singh 0.2-0-5-0

0.6

Singh to Sehwag, FOUR, Swat! He is back, our man Sehwag. The last ball was just an aberration. This was a short delivery angling across him and he swivels to swat-pull it over wide midwicket

Delhi Daredevils 9/0   V Sehwag 8* (5b 2x4)   RP Singh 1-0-9-0

1.2

Sreesanth to Warner, FOUR, Neat! Another widish delivery, fuller this time, and Warner presses back and across, shifts his weight back, leans his body across, gets his hands away from the body, reaches the ball and square drives it through point

Delhi Daredevils 13/0   DA Warner 5* (3b 1x4)   S Sreesanth 0.2-0-4-0

3.3

Sreesanth to Warner, FOUR, No McCullum or Hodge to save Sreesanth this time. A full toss outside off and Warner cuts it away to the point boundary

Delhi Daredevils 25/1   DA Warner 10* (9b 2x4)   S Sreesanth 1.3-0-10-0

4.5

Parameswaran to Ojha, FOUR, drifts to the pads and Ojha whips it to the square-leg boundary. Nice and easy.

Delhi Daredevils 37/1   NV Ojha 11* (10b 1x4 1x6)   P Parameswaran 1.5-0-16-1

6.4

Singh to Venugopal Rao, FOUR, short in length outside off sutmp and Venu stands on his toes and punches it ever so sweetly through extra cover. Impressive hit.

Delhi Daredevils 47/3   Y Venugopal Rao 4* (2b 1x4)   RP Singh 1.4-0-14-1

9.4

Gomez to Venugopal Rao, FOUR, Sweet! Similar delivery but this time Venu doesn't lunge; he leans across, opens the bat-face and steers it to right of backward point. All timing.

Delhi Daredevils 60/3   Y Venugopal Rao 13* (12b 2x4)   RV Gomez 0.4-0-5-0

11.3

Vinay Kumar to Nagar, FOUR, What was that?! Immense fun. Not that Mahela will agree. Vinay tries the slower one and it comes horribly out of his hand. The ball lands very very short down the track, bounces once and bounces again and Nagar, who stopped his initial attempt at pulling and waited, lunged out to crash-pull it after the second bounce to midwicket boundary. Mahela reckons it should be a dead ball and speaks to the umpire. Dead ball only if it had bounced thrice.

Delhi Daredevils 73/3   Y Nagar 9* (14b 1x4)   R Vinay Kumar 1.3-0-8-0

12.6

Gomez to Venugopal Rao, FOUR, low full toss around off stump and Venu, as ever, concentrates on getting the timing and the placement right. No violence. He leaned forward and timed it to left of long-off

Delhi Daredevils 85/3   Y Venugopal Rao 23* (22b 3x4)   RV Gomez 2-0-16-0

13.2

Singh to Venugopal Rao, FOUR, Edged through vacant slips! It was a length delivery outside off stump, the batsman frees his arms and the ball flies off the edge

Delhi Daredevils 90/3   Y Venugopal Rao 27* (23b 4x4)   RP Singh 2.2-0-20-1

15.3

Jadeja to Venugopal Rao, FOUR, Venu bhai! Again that sense of timing. It was a very full delivery and it appeared for a moment that he was yorked there and didn't have much room to work with. But he adjusted, got the bat down in a hurry, opened the bat-face and steered it wide of short third man

Delhi Daredevils 104/4   Y Venugopal Rao 37* (32b 5x4)   RA Jadeja 1.3-0-12-0

16.1

Sreesanth to Birt, FOUR, Lash! overpitched well outside off and Birt square drives it to the point boundary.

Delhi Daredevils 112/4   TR Birt 8* (4b 1x4)   S Sreesanth 3.1-0-20-1

17.3

Parameswaran to Birt, FOUR, short and just down the leg side and Birt laps it around the corner to fine-leg boundary

Delhi Daredevils 120/5   TR Birt 14* (9b 2x4)   P Parameswaran 3.3-0-23-2

17.6

Parameswaran to Birt, FOUR, Birt moves outside leg, Param bangs it in short around off and Birt reaches out to carve it up and over point boundary

Delhi Daredevils 126/5   TR Birt 19* (11b 3x4)   P Parameswaran 4-0-29-2

18.3

Vinay Kumar to Birt, FOUR, He went down on his knee and initially looked to paddle swat it. Vinay banged it short just outside off and Birt adjusted quickly, changed his mind, and put up the bat like a periscope and steered the ball up and over to the third man boundary! Wicked fun!

Delhi Daredevils 131/5   TR Birt 23* (12b 4x4)   R Vinay Kumar 3.3-0-21-1

18.5

Vinay Kumar to Birt, FOUR, Crash! Birt pulls a short delivery from outside off to the midwicket boundary.

Delhi Daredevils 135/5   TR Birt 27* (14b 5x4)   R Vinay Kumar 3.5-0-25-1
