Indian Premier League, 55th match: Rajasthan Royals v Royal Challengers Bangalore at Jaipur, May 11, 2011
Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 9 wickets (with 18 balls remaining)
11 May 2011 - night match (20-over match)

Zaheer Khan is ready to start and so are we.

Dravid had one foot over the boundary already, he seemed ready to get started from the first moment and he has come out to big applause. Shane Watson is with him. He is due a big innings.

There are a lot of special things about this match and one of them is Rahul Dravid playing against is ex-team."Very Excited to see how Dravid Play against his home team," says Rakesh.

And there are also good vibes going the way of the stand-in Bangalore skipper. Hugh O'Connor has this to say."Great move to give Kohli the armband - he's the rising star in India - good to get a bit of leadership experience now."

Not everyone is happy with Kohli as skipper. Kartik sends this in. "All due respect to Kohli, but maybe he's a victim of the hype Bangalore have created around him? With de Villiers, Dilshan, Gayle and Khan all in the side any one of them would have been more suitable as captain."

The first feedback of the day comes from Sandeep who has wishes for a Bangalore player. "Abrar Kazi who is making his debut for RCB tonight is the brother of my dear friend. I wish him all the best and for sure he'll make the most of this opportunity." Kazi is playing in his first twenty-over game, so a big occasion for this young man.

It's a special day for Shane Warne, who is retiring from IPL cricket at the end of this season. Today is his last match in Jaipur and there will be no doubt he'll want to end off with a bang. Let's hope he is in better mood than he was last time Rajasthan played on this pitch. It's the pitch that Warne said his team was forced to play on and called one of the boundaries a "kiddies boundary." They're playing on that strip again tonight.

19:30 Toss Bangalore have won the toss and will field. Already, Kohli has made a successful start to captaincy it seems, by winning the toss.

Kohli: ""Have heard a little bit of dew comes in, but that won't be a problem."

Bangalore have had to make a change because of Vettori's injury. Charl Langeveldt comes in to play in his first match of this IPL. Arun Kartik replaces Pujara and Abrar Kazi is also in the starting XI.

Rajasthan also have one change. Pankaj Singh comes in for Amit Singh. Pankaj has done very well in the Ranji Trophy were he was one of the highest wicket-takers.

News just in: Daniel Vettori will not be playing today. He is out with a knee injury. Virat Kohli will captain Bangalore in Vettori's absence and is apparently the youngest IPL captain.

19:20 Good evening and welcome to ESPNCricinfo's coverage of today's only IPL game, between Rajasthan and Bangalore. It's a big match on the cards and the Royals have it all to do if they are to remain in contention for the playoffs.

For some pre-match reading, Sriram Veera's preview will tell you all about the importance of this match and our stats editor S Rajesh has done this story on the qualification scenarios facing each team.
