Khan to Hussey, 1 run, on the pads from over the wicket, Hussey is away nudging through square leg.

Khan to Vijay, 2 runs, Vijay edges straight away, and runs like a hare. Zaheer angles it across gently, Vijay's feet move lazily into the shot and briskly thereafter. The ball screams away to third man and he rushes back for the second. Wide throw helps his cause.

Khan to Vijay, no run, better from Vijay, moves nicely into a check drive as Zaheer again angles it across him

Khan to Vijay, 1 run, Vijay again leans across with authority and punches wide of mid-off for a single.

Khan to Hussey, no run, this one is back of a length outside Hussey's off stump and he lets it go.

Khan to Hussey, 1 run, aha, interesting shot. Hussey jumps out, ends up getting too close to the ball, and yet times it well to the left of Tiwary at mid-off who moves with unbecoming agility to tumble away and stop. Single taken

Chennai Super Kings 5/0   Z Khan 1-0-5-0

Khan to Hussey, SIX, Hussey joins the fun now. Zaheer lands one short and angling down the leg side. Hussey easily moves inside the line and swings it all the way over deep backward square leg. CSK are up and away. And I wonder if Kohli's overthrow had a role to play in it.

Khan to Hussey, 1 run, another needless throw. Hussey nudges off the backfoot towards point and prances across. Syed Mohammad comes in and hurls it at the non-striker's end. No damage this time.

Khan to Vijay, 2 runs, Vijay's looking really good here. Back of a length ball angles into the pads, and he easily works it around through square leg for two more.

Khan to Vijay, 1 run, fullish ball outside off, Vijay leans into a nice straight drive and doesn't over-hit it. Gets only the single though.

Khan to Hussey, no run, one again the Huss tries to hustle his nemesis by charging out of the crease. Again, can't generate room or length and he ends up working it towards mid-on for no run

Khan to Hussey, no run, decent finish to the over. Zaheer finishes with one on the channel outside off and Hussey steers towards point.

Khan to Hussey, 1 run, starts off with a bouncer that cuts all the room as Hussey motors out of his crease. He ends up guiding a slapped pull to short fine leg, and they get the single.

Khan to Vijay, FOUR, Bangalore have still not woken up. Short of a length outside off stump, Vijay moves into position and steers with a smartly opened face, perfectly in between point and short third. The former reacts slowly, and the latter almost doesn't react. Four more.

Khan to Vijay, 2 runs, on the pads, Vijay gets it away into the leg side for a couple more.

Khan to Vijay, 1 run, short of a length this time, from round the stumps and looking to handcuff Vijay, but he manages to work it to short fine leg for one more.

Khan to Hussey, 1 run, Hussey moves to 49, he's feeling knackered too.. The weather's getting to them. Hussey charges out, and drags Zaheer around towards midwicket for one more.

Khan to Vijay, 1 run, Vijay quietly tucks a length ball through square leg for one. The batsmen are tired and ask for the time-out at the first opportunity. The smarts.

Chennai Super Kings 131/0   Z Khan 3-0-25-0

Khan to Dhoni, 2 runs, short ball angling into MS, who stays back in the crease and carves through the covers for a couple.

Khan to Dhoni, no run, fuller this time and angling in outside off, Dhoni attempts the lap scoop, not a shot he tries too often, and doesn't make contact.

Khan to Dhoni, no run, smart from Zaheer, produces two dot balls on the trot. Very wide yorker outside off, Dhoni can't reach it and it is just short of being called wide.

Khan to Dhoni, no run, three in a row. Knuckle ball at 122 kph, Dhoni swings hard well before the ball comes along, and misses.

Khan to Dhoni, 1 run, low full toss outside off, Dhoni bottom hands the cover drive to the sweeper in the deep.

Khan to Vijay, 2 runs, short ball at 133 kph, Vijay seems to have all the time he needs today. He waits and pulls between midwicket and deep square leg, and has enough time to come back for the second.
