A lanky offspinner, Ajit Chandila has been effective in domestic league cricket for Air India. His list of victims at that level includes an illustrious line-up: VVS Laxman, Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina. He made his first-class debut for Haryana in 2010 and was signed by Delhi Daredevils the following season. However, it was only when he turned out for Rajasthan Royals in the 2012 IPL that he really came into the spotlight, claiming a hat-trick that accounted for Pune Warriors' Sourav Ganguly, Jesse Ryder and Robin Uthappa.
Sadly, there was scandal in store the following IPL season, when he was among three Rajasthan Royals players - Sreesanth and Ankeet Chavan being the others - arrested for alleged spot-fixing.
