Indian Premier League - 31st match

Pune Warriors v Delhi Daredevils

Delhi Daredevils won by 8 wickets (with 24 balls remaining)

4.00pm We're all set for the start, Manish Pandey has been promoted to the opener's slot. With him is Jesse Ryder, who has already made some big contributions this season. Irfan Pathan charges in, it's sounds pretty noisy at the Pune stadium.

3.50pm More changes called for. Kapil: "I was hoping Delhi would play Andre Russell instead of Ross Taylor as the pitch here would have suited a pacer more and of course Russell can be very useful down the order."

Mark J: "Here's one: "Pune are gonna have a Luke at what he can do for them today"."

A double-whammy from Vikramjit Ray: "'Luke's like the PWI feel he's the 'Wright' man, today."

Shankar: "Wright comes in after a 'Luke' warm performance from Mathews!"

Obligatory mail before every Pune game. SomeoneStoleMyLungi: "What has Tamim done wrong?"

3.40pm PG may or may not be joking: "cant believe it !!!! no AGARkAR yet again!!!!" 3-0-42-0, Ajit managed in his previous game.

Anupam Barve: "Anyone happy to shed light on why Mithun Manhas still stays in the 11 despite not having done anything at all? Won't someone else be happy to get an opportunity?" He didn't do too badly against Punjab, though that seems a long time ago.

Rama: "Manish Pandey should open with Ryder else there is no point in playing him in middle order."

Karan Jain: "Excited to see Luke Wright playing today. Still cant get over his 100 In KFC." Yes, this badge-kissing pic raised quite a fuss, didn't it?

Graeme: "@Vaishak, except a better call would have been Nathan McCullum (cracks) or Wayne Parnell (death bowling)."

3.30pm Toss Ganguly wins the toss and Pune choose to bat. Sehwag had also wanted to bat first but he's unfazed at losing the toss, saying he would love to bowl first as well.

One change for Pune: Luke Wright gets his first game of the tournament, coming in for Angelo Mathews. Delhi are unchanged.

Pietersen calls it an "interesting" pitch as it has plenty of cracks in it.

Vaishak goes for the obvious pun: "Finally, the 'Wright' call from Pune, replacing Mathews." Any better ones out there?

3.20pm Hi folks, welcome to game 31. Six teams locked on eight points each, two of them face off now at the Subrata Roy Sahara stadium in Pune. It's the return leg of Pune Warriors v Delhi Daredevils. Three days ago, Sourav Ganguly stole the headlines with his all-round show as Pune won by 20 runs. Alfonso Thomas and Jesse Ryder also starred as Pune got their fourth victory. Here's our preview to the game.

Morkel to Pandey, 2 runs, Pandey doesn't get hold of it this time, the ball rolls towards midwicket and the batsmen take two, Pune end on 146

Pandey finishes on 80, Uthappa on 60. Pune have done well after the early dismissals of Ryder and Ganguly. They were 53 for 2 after 11 overs, but an onslaught followed to lift Pune to a competitive total.

Before the tournament began, spin was deemed to be Delhi's biggest weakness, but their left-arm spinners did a terrific job in the middle of the innings, choking the runs and not giving the batsmen anything short to capitalise on.

"Good recover but not enough runs on the board," says Manu, which sums up readers' sentiment.

Nahim: "Bad luck seems to follow Morkel. Mishits and edges going for fours and sixes in the last match. Near-perfect yorkers going for boundaries today."

Kapil: "Fine leg is fine but really find it foolish when Captains bring the third man up for pace bowlers.. Pune would have been restricted to 130-135 max had third man been on boundary."

Ganguly, Wright and Ryder will have to share four overs today (unless Steven Smith gets his first bowl of the tournament).

Naveen is still backing Pune: "I think it is a very good total on a pitch which is slow and low; don't think Smith would have mattered much on this pitch. Pune have done well here, Murali Kartik might have a very good day !"

As does Abhijit: "With Murali Karthik and Rahul Sharma to bowl on this spinning track, the total looks like competetive although PWI needs some early breakthrough."

Sandeep Gupta: "@Kapil- Totally agreed. Having third man up for our military medium pacers (read Munaf, Irfan, Praveen) is still understandable but for Umesh and Morkel?"
