Hailing from Bangalore, left-arm medium pacer Sreenath Aravind impressed in the fourth season of the IPL, emerging as the highest wicket-taker for Royal Challengers Bangalore with 21 wickets from 13 games. He overcame a career-threatening road accident a couple of years ago and made his first-class debut in 2008. He had a strong 2010-11 domestic season; he was the second-highest wicket-taker for Karnataka with 26 scalps and also the second-highest wicket-taker for South Zone in the Duleep Trophy with 10 wickets. His impressive run of form earned him a call-up to the Indian ODI side for the home series against England.
